That is very nice! Are you using photoshop with custom brushes, Jopax? I could never get brushstrokes like that on Sai. :I It reminds me a lot of some GW2 concept art I've seen.

Also, this actually inspired me to do a background painting of my own. Been planning to get into practicing my backgrounds but I'm a pretty lazy asshole.

I made this rather ridiculous "bun cover" for my sister recently. (It's supposed to go with a gaudy silver bangle bracelet she uses on her bun already)

Here she is after I made her put it on.

Yes, I have been using PS (CS3) and for this particular piece a couple of brushes only, first was a large randomized forest brush to give the whole piece texture while blocking in general shapes and values, afterwards a variation of the standard round brush was used for detailing and the rest, finally another randomized cloud brush was used to add some atmosphere. And thanks, always very glad to see someone inspired by my stuff
