Yesterday, I had this session with the carpenter friend. He had to craft some desk, and we did work on frames that day. He has shown me how to work with various saws, we measured and cut planks, and then connected them with little plugs. Here's the outcome:

As for these guys I drew earlier, they're Bowen and Einon from Dragonheart! Oh, I just love that movie. Probably my all time favorite. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, it is epic... Cult classic. If you haven't yet, watch it. Worth it.

That's cool. Can't say I've done any woodworking since I had to back in highschool.

I haven't made anything in a while, so here's some swirly crystals.

Ooo that's rather mesmerizing! That'd be a really cool effect for some kind of magical projectile in a game, it actually kinda reminds me of a few of the effects in Dungeon Siege, except it's nicer. :v

Your drawings are awesome, much better than my drawing with a pencil, which is why I use MS Paint or Paintz.com depending on computer
Much thank! If you're looking for other drawing software to try out, i can heavily recommend Krita, it's free and can actually compete with paid options in many regards. I also used to use MS Paint, but now that i've gone over to Krita i only really use it for novelty purposes. :P

Also, i tried experimenting a little:

Spoiler: hat (click to show/hide)

First of all, inking outside of inktober, to buff up my line power, and secondly, pencil shading on an inked drawing. I think i like it!

Seconded! Super cool.

I highly recommend Krita. I'd go beyond saying it can compete with paid options and say that there's pretty much nothing an artist frequently needs that Krita doesn't have. Every time I've wanted a feature from PS, Krita has had it or an alternative.

Edit:

Also concept art

i made a thing:
~snip~

That's excellent!

Had a little free time recently, and made a straight razor.

Still feels like it's missing something though. Maybe the background is just too same-y.

I also made an engraved version, like in the Sweeney Todd movie, but it didn't look too good.

I've been working on this little prototype about a robotic vehicle using an arm to solve physics-based puzzles. I want a short story-based game with a deeply pessimistic plot, and some game mechanics that are both original and true to the exploits of real Mars rovers like Spirit, Opportunity and Curiosity.

Game physics and my own abilities being what they are, it's not quite coming along yet. It feels somewhere between a wacky party game and an (insert any game with physics) glitch reel.
