23:36, Hidden Entrance to UnderVale

You make your way through the shell of the Dogged Slums, picking through the remains of huts, pile of debris, and the rare house you find that you are going rather slow, and the moon is rising higher in the sky. By the time you reach the skyscraper remains the moon is nearly at its peak, and true night begins to set in, with no light you have a tough time finding anything, but after several small accidents where you nearly broke your legs you finally find a sewer grate protected by a dome of cleverly built rubble. You have learned the subtle signs of finding the entrance to sewer cities, and you manage to find the switch witch opens a seemingly natural pile of rubble out of the way.

You step inside, and the first sight that greats you is numerous weapons, in varying states of disrepair, pointing directly at you. You throw you arms up, and a small man scurries out of the shadows to inspect you. You wait, and after several minutes the man backs away with a nod, and the guards lower their guns. From the back of the numerous guards a voice calls out to you, "Welcome Newcomer! This is UnderVale, I must apologize about that, but its for safety reason, so I hope you understand." Suddenly the man pushes his way through the crowd, he stands a good six feet tall with eyes and hair of a golden color.

His face is marred by several scars, and his body is covered in a large suit of leather, and metal armor that covers everything, but his head. As he reaches you he talks again "I am Desmond Fredrick, one of the head Guards here. Sorry, but I must ask you to state your business here. Are you seeking shelter, food, weapons, or information?"

'Well I do need supplies, and information, but what is my main reason for wanting to come here?' you think as you look at the man in front of you.

We came here to get a makeshift squad. We can't do this alone. I take it that they will be sympathetic to the person fighting the people that drove them underground.

"I came here to get some able-bodied people to help me out. I could also do with some supplies and light armor."

Since I don't know whether they hate the Nazis enough to endanger some of their own I won't tell them it's against the Nazis until I get some more info on these guys.

Also, "I fight for freedom."

If they are in any way with the Nazis then we may encounter trouble, but the feeling is off as they may be a separatist group judging by the spoken language and the uniforms.

I need the location of any secret entrances to this camp, and a captured German weapon.

Actually we should keep that to ourselves. We don't know if they'll make us leave if we tell them we are a freedom fighter. They might make us leave cause they don't want the Nazis to know of this place.

23:36, Hidden Entrance to UnderVale

"I came here to get some able-bodied people to help me out. I could also do with some supplies and light armor." You tell Desmond as he leads you down a tunnel, and into a large chamber filled with tables, bunk beds, weapon racks, and chests, you figure this must be the Barracks for this entrance. Desmond points to a wooden stool, and takes a seat opposite you before leaning his gun against a the table next to him. "The first thing you will find few of as not many people want to leave once they enter the Sewer Cities due to its rather great deal of safety from the Nazi Regime. The second of which won't come cheap though ..." his words fall off as he seems to suddenly remember something.

Standing up he walks over to a chest, flips the lid, and pulls a piece of paper from inside of it, he then proceeds to drop it on the table in front of you. From what you can see its flyer for some form of tournament, or something like that, the prize is 50,000 Credits, and a pair of extremely rare combat drones. You look up from the paper, and find Desmond grinning at you as he asks "Sound like something you might be interested in me friend?"

"We get to keep it all? No taxes? Is this a death match or fight until unconscious. Is there an entrance cost?"

Well we don't have time enough to be picky, but it would help if we could get a bit of sponsorship, unless the equipment is provided by the tournament organisers...

We have at most five days.

We need to be more experienced or have some allies to cover our back if we go get our allies from the Nazis.

Inquire about the tournament. Maybe...haggle for a better reward if we can top it.

? ? ?  , ? ? ?

"Seems like a good idea, but is there anyway I can get a better prize, or any other work I can do instead?" You ask Desmond, but as he hears your question you see a grin spread across his face. Before you can draw your bow all the guards in the room have their guns pointed at you, and Desmond is grinning, almost laughing, at your situation. "Of course you have to do it, otherwise your going to die. We won't kill you, but if you don't survive the tournament you either die, or become a fighter until you earn your freedom. Your out a luck here, orders are orders." With that you feel something strike you in the back of the head, and your vision fades to black.

Next time you awake it is to the sounds of someone beating on your bars, and the roaring cheers from some great crowd above you. As you open your eyes you see mold, and moss encrusted stone surrounding you in all directions, but one. In the one direction where you see no stone you find wrought iron bars, and a fat bald man staring you down, to his sides are two heavily armored guards carrying MP47s, and an impressive array handguns, and what you assume to be flash-bangs.

His coarse voice fills your ears as he speaks, "Get up, its your turn in the Arena. Go down the hallway, and grab what gear you want, but be quick about it, or we'll throw you in with nothing, but a stick, and a rock." With that you feel someone roughly pull you to your feet, and shove you out of the cell into the dank hallway. As you are ushered down the hallway you see numerous cells filled with people who have grown thin, pale, and weak from long bouts of fighting. After several minutes you are shoved into a room, and a heavy iron door slams shut behind you followed by the bald man's words, "Choose what you want, and get out there. Now!"

You look around the room, and see an impressive array of weapons, any other time you wood by glad to have found such a thing, but now you just had a horrible filling in the bit of your stomach.

I suggest the sharkfin, it could end this before it starts, and pick up half-a-dozen rounds for it.
A pair of renfields, you want to have a second for when the first needs reloading, and grab a handful of clips.
Three flash-bangs would make a useful addition, more would likely weigh us down and the clanking may give away our position.
And if you can, get a click-clack and an armband, it would be nice to have something to cover our flank.

P.S.
Quests needs to be updated, 'survive' isn't listed...

You get that once you walk out into the arena :)

I imagine the arena wont have very much sneaking involved so

Grab an mp47 and 5 magazines for it, grab an ammo belt, 2 frags and 2 flashbangs. Also grab 2 pistols and 4 clips for it and a calvary sword.

PS This is why you dont try to haggle :D

Do we get to pick out weapons before each game or are we stuck with what we grab now for the tourney?

So I agree with jakeread1, but bring the sharkfin too, but don't include ammo, walk in, use the sniper rifle and drop it.
