Can I ask you? How do you get the purple circles that show where you ordered your guys to go?

You press [TAB] and They show up. Sometimes yellow, sometimes purple.

I've updated the first post with 5 videos.
Parts 25 and 26 go as planned.. mostly..
Part 27 is where two major factions join Egypt in their war against us on the Eastern front.
Part 28 is called "Denial", for we DENY to accept the fact, that we're going to fail.
Part 29 is Reversed-Dick Mountainjoy battle. Also, i open ANOTHER front line, because i can. Numidians land on the boot.

Fun fact : Marian Reforms arrive in 2 videos.
Fun fact #2 : In 2 videos we shall also begin a campaign in Greece
Fun fact #3 : I hate fun facts.

Your very good at Rome Total War games. You should try the other games of the series. I hope to see a Shogun 2 or the Medieval series in your style of play.

I'm giving something called "eXtended Cultures" a try, and i must say that it's looking promising. Governing cities is made much more difficult and complex, upkeep is ball-breaking and one can not simply walk into mordor rush in all directions.

Ofcourse factions such as Romans or Seleucids are still no-brain, straightforward conquest of the entire world, but we can play as a 1-province minor... Free City of Syracuse (-2000 denari/turn, 6 starting units, all of them bad) vs the world, where all of our neighbors start with at least 2-3 full stacks..

Battles are actually much more difficult for me, due to the fact that everyone (and their mom) have insanely higher morale, defense and 2 hit points. Movement rates are reduced, ranged units made much less effective, surrounded units don't rout right away.

Then we have Hunger, Culture, Ambitions, Loyalty and what not..
When fighting Seleucid, if you capture Antioch - main port - They will be economically screwed, despite having 40 regions!
Aka "How RTW should have been"

Also units look badass, and.. we have a horse-less General!

One last jewel : Spartans take 30 turns (15 years) to train, but they ARE the butchers from Thermopyle. *sniff* i'm actually in love!

Still, Numidia is only at the "halfway" point, it only gets more and more difficult. One RTW run at a time!

15;27 3 hit points. Unroutable until They get down to a ridiculously low, 1 digid unit count.
Beat Sacred band by 3 attack and xxx morale.

Now I'll have to actually instal Barb Inv again, for Shield Wall formation and swimming units  :o

Still, i find Your interest in the mod disturbing!

As I said on another thread for a good mod i'd recommend Roma Surrectum 2, it's an amazing mod that manages to be difficult too. Okay, if you play it on 0 turn campaign most units can be built instantly in a turn... but the same applies for the enemy... the enemy who will spawn stacks out of thin air when they lack money. Also the romans are ridiculously tough.

In RS2 every battle takes over an hour. An absolute no-go for a max-difficulty LP.

Well it depends on the faction. Horse archer factions versus anyone=quick battle. Barbarian factions=rather quick. Romans=medium length. Phalanx factions=OHGODWHYDOESN'TITEND

Also for some fun time in that game try what I like to call "the glory path". It's rather simple, make half a stack with a general in it as any faction. Your job is to get that guy on a boat and conquer some random country with the guy, hiring any mercenaries you find too. It's like rushing but dumber and crazy :p

I took that mod for a spin and I gotta say I'm pretty impressed by it.  The battles were very nice although it is disappointing that as Syracuse my generals bodyguard was unable to use the shield wall formation.  I'd suggest turning off the fog of war which hardly makes the game easier but does allow for description of the stuff happening on  the cool expanded map.

Hardcoded UI limitation. Just like the Thracian general in vanilla had to choose between Wedge and Horn. I'd choose Horn every day of the week.

Parts 30 and 31 added. We siege Croton and thus the war on The Boot begins. We land in Greece, opening every single front possible.
