I took that mod for a spin and I gotta say I'm pretty impressed by it.  The battles were very nice although it is disappointing that as Syracuse my generals bodyguard was unable to use the shield wall formation.

Hardcoded UI limitation. Just like the Thracian general in vanilla had to choose between Wedge and Horn. I'd choose Horn every day of the week.

Parts 30 and 31 added. We siege Croton and thus the war on The Boot begins. We land in Greece, opening every single front possible.

I'd pick horn over wedge every day of the week as well.  But horn is less useful for infantry while shield wall is very useful indeed.

I just realize that 30 turns(15 years) is practically training a spartan from birth. How much does that cost and can you reinforce them is someone dies?

Wow, the formula for the volume of a sphere and method of exhaustion approximation for pi have a lot more military applications then I was aware of.

Huh. You know what is odd? Googles closed captions work better for you videos then most others. Strange. Try it.

Oh, there's an easy explanation for that. You see, i own Google.

At any rate : Parts 32-39 added to the index. Progress is being made!  :o
Once we're done with that, i may make a run of XC in text&image.

Meanwhile though we have some random Fallout stuff to do.

Still : In part 40 we actually lose a city which we wanted to keep! Besieged and defeated? AYE! See you then!

Could you really have beaten that big army with only two generals and two archers?

Yes. Or at least i believe that it would be possible. Eastern Infantry has terrible morale. All you need is an anvil and a cav (hammer) to break them in 0.2 s. Archers don't make up for good anvils, yet we still managed to rout something.

After all, in Reverse-Dick Mountainjoy we wiped out an army with 3 generals with no trouble.

Then again : I was wrong before.

Why do you destroy sewers?  Yes they increase maximum population, but don't they increase happiness just as much?

At 24000 pop and anything above +0.5% growth these sewers will be one's undoing.
Perhaps i've destroyed one too many sewers here or there, but in general i try to speed things up during the video, and not chill out for half-hour thinking about what to do. If i sat down and actually gave some more thought to this or that move, i could probably do a much better job. But the desire to not forcefeed people 50 videos of city management, as well as the.. confidence.. that i shall win the campaign with or without mistakes that we've made a plenty.. I tend to not overlook, but ignore a few things.

Why?  +1 unhappiness from crowding, +1 happiness from public health.  Do they not balance out in the way I thought they did?

the +1 will remain +1, while the -1 from crowding will become -1.5...-2...-2.5...-3...-gazillion. That's the reason extra growth sucks in most cases ^^

1. Unit size: huge
2. Recruit: basic spears x999
3. BANZAI!

For all your overpopulation needs. Or you could introduce nationwide family planning education.

1 crowding subtracts %.5 from growth.  So the health and the crowding cancel out completely, you just have more population to tax.
