I do belive I skipped around terrozing small pockets of every race and electing those worthy (read: not scared shitless) to be my champions and lead those I have touched. I am now telling my champions to build sall temples in the way I described above.

I thought you hadn't included them as a champion among useless blobs is still an useless blob, nor do they posses the means, physical and intellectual alike, to build temples. But yes, you've manage to force terror upon the hivemind and, as a result, all of the blobkin. As they are scared of you, yet haven't suffered from your acts, you did manage to get a sect of worshippers amongst the Devourers. Your worshippers basis will naturall grow with the population, as will Criptfeind's among the plagued ones, but the hive mind does not see any reason to usher them to worship you just yet, as it does not see you as a patron deity. Trust me on the matter though, they breed like the pest, you will get plenty of divine power.

Should you wish to actively expand your worshipper basis, either offer them a boon or bully them into it, although the later may invoke the wrath of other deities. As far as I am concerned, anything equivalent to your raising of champions, but compatible with the little blobs, will suffice to get the hive mind actively working towards increasing your worship. Also, to make it easier, I will have it so that the hive mind gets to it as soon you take an action; pulling it off as your first action wil afford you the vast majority of the 1000 years to come with increased worship rate amongst the Devourers.

PS: I really need sleep, I may have been needlessly confusing in these ramblings, if that is the case, just ask me again later.

How would it feel if I spliced some horror terror stuff into them. i would potentially make them more powerful.

They don't mind anything which does not compromise ther individual survival, and the hive mind considers anything increasing thir survivability without harming the species itself positive. So yes, that'd appreciated.

And Cript, they are not really scared of becoming plagued, just of the massive deaths involved in the process. They can't really apprecate the thought of the long-term benefits of beng  a blighted scourge... Yet.

I think a key point for Gods to keep in mind when dealing with the Devourers is that you are not dealing with a species: You're dealing with an individual who controls a vast network of blobs. Likewise, when dealing with the Crymits, you're actually dealing with a handful of Emperors who control the drones telepathically. The Zjelldursin are essentially unique entities, so you have to deal with each one individually. Only when dealing with the Retha and Calx are you actually dealing with masses of individuals.

On a related note, I'm game for some shoggothification.

Mostly right, the only but is that the individual "is" the blobs, hence, influence always goes both ways. The only major difference is that only the hive mind may be interacted with as an intelligent being... And, the more blobs there are, the more intelligent and detached it grows. Simply put, should their biomass be at around 1000 kilotons, the hive mind may have actually forced the blobs into pursuing the plague so that the species would thrive, in spite of the individual blobs' unwillingness.

It is a complex, if extremely worthwhile, species to intereact with. Remember, the hive mind is still, to put it bluntly, dumb, 20 kilotons don't even cover its first PP, the equivalent of full sentience.

Blobs are told to make contact with the Crymits and spreading the word of worshiping The Uncleansed to them.

The Uncleansed tries to convert the emporers of 12.7 and 11.7 to worshiping it. Any that do are given the standard package of immunity to plagues, slight mutations, somewhat decreased control over their anger, and the Uncleansed now allows it's worshipers to draw divine power proportionally to how much they worship it.
There is a slight problem with your (well founded) plan, master Criptfeind. Crymits seek mineral beauty and order. Insanity, uncontrolable rage and worse, plagues, are universally disliked (to say the least).

Plagued blobs may be more or less understood, as both species communicate by telepathy, but the offer is refused. There's even high chances for them to be immediatly killed and burned. (remember: I curretly deal with a giant mean blob, smaller, and probably infectious, blobs, are bound to be tagged as dangerous ennemies.

No chance for you to gain any follower. You just personnify everything that Crymits despise. sorry dude.  :-\

Well, fair enough. I don't understand why worship needs to come from love rather then fear, but I can respect that you do not want to worship me.

Well, you won't be lacking Divine Favor, as long as the plagued blobs are immune to predators, and you keep it that way, these will be 1000 years of incredibly populational growth. And remember, they are all fanatical (2x).

Y'see, my emperors are proud stuff. They'll never admit a submission to anything.
They consider all other emperors as their equals, or inferiors. Said inferiors rather talk about "cooperation", even if they effectively take orders from someone. That said, Dysnag (high-rank emperors) are always cautious about giving everyone the respect they deserve.

They worships deities with respect due to powerful forces, but never with submission, or fear. For them, a god-worshiper relation is based on mutual benefit.

This is maybe because they are all prone to turn from fear to anger and rebellion.

And for commoners, they'll never worship someone that Emperors dislike.

Well, meh. I mean. I don't need my worshipers to be sniveling cowards or fanatic crazy people. A mutual benefit thing is okay with me, it does seem I misjudged your guys, I thought some of they would be willing to worship in exchange for the power I just failed to give them.

Well, have you ever heard of Nurgle, Warhammer's Chaos God of Pestilence? You are fairly akin to him, hence, the only way you are getting worhsippers is by reaching out to populations currently suffering due to widespead disease or plaguing them yourself. Should there have been a parasite species, they would be the ones most likely to activey worhip you.

well, he is not very much acknowledged, but that should very well change over time.

Commoners tend to share thoughts with nearby comrades, which reduce individual emotions: humans army can panic if only one soldier break and flee. Others do not understand (maybe he'd heard the retreat? maybe he know something we do not?) and flee too. Chain reaction and bam. On the contrary, one man that stand before the ennemy can rally everyone.
This does not happen for crymits, or rarely. They share most thought (at least the commoners), and stand or flee as one.

As for Emperors, first they have little to fear (with 10.000 servants each average, and magic powers), second their high pride tend to quickly transform fear into anger.

Well, have you ever heard of Nurgle, Warhammer's Chaos God of Pestilence? You are fairly akin to him, hence, the only way you are getting worhsippers is by reaching out to populations currently suffering due to widespead disease or plaguing them yourself.

That is not true. You assume that I can only be evil. Which is not true. I am geared towards it, yes. But not locked into it. I am a god of plagues yes, but the other side of that coin is that I am the god of survival. I am the god of overcoming threats and death. I am the god of rebirth and renewal. I am the god of rage. I am the god of justice. I am the god of madness. I am the god of innovation and rejection of stagnation.

The only way you mortals will grow is by by by testing. By failure driving you to succeed. This is the very core of the idea of evolution. I am the representation of movement that keeps you from stagnation and death.

This is why a chose the blobs. They were a pathetic race. Truly with no more worth then plants, only there to be eaten by others. Now the ones I have taken under my wing have grown and evolved. No longer do they fear predation. They have grown in body and in mind. It is a uphill battle with them, but they will grow and evolve.

Then I hear of a race of tiny crabs and their beloved emperors, under much the situation as the blobs. Although much more advanced then blobs they were as helpless as you were vs their own predator. A monolithic entity, that can not be stopped by them. A giant blob. Oh irony.

So I send follows to the north. This is truly another race that needs my fire to temper their steel. I offer them the start of the power they need to throw off their own daemons. But to no end. They reject me. They reject growth! They reject evolution! They hide away and allow themselves to die in their own fear of death!

So be it. Let them fail and die. Reject power and growth. Fester in their own plague of of stagnation.
