[38a] Infinite flooding
« on: February 16, 2008, 06:33:00 pm »

In my game, the world is flooding in two places.  The pumps that it seems to be flooding from aren't even powered, and the connection to the river is closed!  It's not the u-bend bug, because the connection to what could have been a u-bend is also closed.  Here's some pictures (the red/orange lines are approximately above each other, and are near the source of the flooding):

Top level:

Level below that:

It looks weird. Might be a self-sustaining U-bend between the two pumps...  I dunno.

It's hard to tell with that tileset.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Save at rapidshare.  It's a few frames after the images I posted.

Your pump backfilled into the channel, because of the tingle tile space to the left of the pump. The pump kept pumping the same water, making some universe breaking U-Bend.

When I loaded this it was no longer a problem -- the water that was already there just flattened out.  Is this one fine now?  After that, I reloaded and eliminated all the water on that Z level and there was no further flooding, and I couldn't get the problem to happen again by re-engaging the pumps.
