I'm stumped.

How do I make the strengths/weaknesses work out ? :(

arghhhh.... do I go for anachronism?

I was thinking about it, and it seems that sea units are more powerful the more cannons they have, period. No frigates beat whom and destroyers do such-and-such, no battleships are destroyed by submarines :/

How do I incorporate land units into this? Do I just mix airplanes with sailships somehow? wahh... The fact that I'm kinda dizzy from a cold doesn't help me at all!

Land Units can be used to take over Islands, Oil Rigs, Ocean Cities, etc. (Just giving ideas)

As for how to handle weaknesses make the weaker one only have 50% of its stats when facing the one that has an advantage I guess.

Airplanes can be carried on Carriers, and used to bomb enemy ships before yours engage, or attack enemy airplanes.

That is all my suggestions

The problem being the setting is where sail ships rule.

Logistics would be easy to incorporate, range, not so much. I mean, battles take place in territories and units actual specific positions aren't tracked. If it's factored like Initiative and controls which unit attacks first, maybe.

Only in fights. Rights-of-shooting-first, and all :-0

Logistics range can be how far a ship can fight from a supply source AKA an island or a treasure ship.
