Figuring he's best off focusing on the Crystal for now, since that's what he vaguely remembers the contest being about, Delboe will clamber down into the pit, using his pick as an aid if necessary, and make for the ladder.
"Get awa' from that, yer damn things! Git!" He growls at the wolves, clashing the handle of his pickaxe against his armour in hopes of scaring them. If that fails, well, pick to the head, times two!
