Weapon artifacts unusable except by owner.
« on: November 17, 2007, 03:20:00 pm »

A miner who made an artifact table died, but the table couldn't be used in a building. That was annoying, but I seem to recall that that bug was in the last version.

But later, another dwarf who made an artifact mace died, and, even if every other mace was forbidden, a mace-designated recruit refused to pick it up. This is getting seriously annoying.

Dwarves consider all artifacts to be priceless works of art.  They have never been useful as whatever they appear to be.  I'm not sure what happens to them in adventure mode.

No, I thought they could be used as whatever after so long a period of time.  5 years from crafting or something I thought it was.  I *distinctly* remember placing artifact furniture in the old DF after enough time had passed.

Yeah, in the old version I got one of my soldiers to pick up and wield an artifact bone warhammer. Don't know if anything might have got broken in this version.
