This plan is flawless.

Waluigi actually succeeded a dice roll here, but the fact of the matter is this plan is so simple yet effective that it didn't even need a dice roll. Who knew taking half-shells from animated Koopa dolls was so easy?

The kind KOOPABOT informs you that even though he has no emotions, he is programmed to be ashamed that anyone can see him without his SHELL, or at least without most of it. It's kind of a Koopa thing, you wouldn't understand. So could you please give that back so we can get back to

Whatever KOOPABOT RED has to say doesn't matter because the ground starts shaking. That's NEVER a good sign. What could it mean? Perhaps the castle is being invaded. Maybe the King and Queen found out about W TEAM's nefarious plans. Or it's another MAGIKOOPA RAID. WALUIGI HATES those. But, in fact, it just turns out to be a

CHARACTER SELECT SCREEN!

Oh boy, don't you just love these? The choice is in your hands. You could keep being Waluigi, but that's kind of taking a while, and we'll get to see him later anyway. Or you could go back to being Luigi, but he's not really going anywhere since there's just a wide open field in between that cave and the castle. Actually, that's not true, but consider the other choices: you could choose the MUSHROOM which represents someone, but you don't know who yet! Or maybe the crudely-shaped HAT. Choosing the hat would definitely not lead to a massive spoiler that wouldn't actually be a spoiler for anyone except one of the readers whose name I won't reveal.

Both excellent choices. Top notch, really. You only WISH you had thought of "Pete McElhany" when you came up with this identity. Pete sounds kinda scraggly, and maybe he has brown hair. You could dye your hair brown. This would probably have prevented you from being locked up in the center of a dungeon inside an active volcano. It's too bad you can't teleport out or anything. You definitely didn't do that before at any point.
