They're not cacti, no spikes. I can't remember what they're called though. But go get link healed. We DON'T want a very angry Zelda trying to kill us...

Cacti or not, I doubt they know much about humanoid anatomy to correctly treat a dead person.

Unless one of 'em's got a doctor title in anthropology or something.

((Present tense is tough stuff, so from now on the narrative is past tense))

Link and the tall green man (woman?) walked into the nearest hut. The hay that acted as a roof shook as they slammed the door behind them. Inside, a worn-down interior held a smaller green person, along with an older one. The walls, broken in places, were lined with pink beds. Various pieces of pottery gave the place a cozier feel.

The green guy Luigi followed inside addressed the older one, showing to her Link's body. "Ma-ma, ma-ma, we've got a dead visitor! He and the green fellow have come through the border to assist our Kingdom. Please, there must be something you can do!"

The smaller one spoke up. "Pa-pa, what are these pink people?"

The wrinkly one spoke last. He/she stepped forward and examined the body. "Ai-ai-ai... it's a human, Mary-dee. So's the other. Even a shaman such as myself can't treat such a foreign race."

Luigi hopped up and down in distress. The green one holding Link noticed his worry. "Please, green Human, calm down! There must be a way. Ma-ma, is there anything we can do?"

"Ma-ma" thought to herself for a moment, then snapped back to reality. She addressed Luigi: "There is, but at a risk. On top of Hoohoo Mountain, across the bridge and to the west, there exists a rare plant called a Miracle Herb. They're not known to bloom this early, but there will often be exceptions. If you're lucky, you can probably climb the mountain to get one and feed it to your friend before his soul has passed on. But you must make haste! Go, find the herbs!"

Mary-dee, the small one, widened her eyes in excitement. "Ah! An adventure! May I go? I've climbed the mountain before, so I can lead the way."

"Hooraaaaaay!"

The two other bean-like people wished Luigi and Mary-dee safe travels. After a few moments, they headed outside. Luigi opted to continue carrying Link's corpse. Wouldn't want to double the trip time just so they could backtrack to it.

"Grand-ma-ma likes to hurry things up, but your friend still has a day of life in him." Mary-dee pointed to the west side of the bridge. "The blacksmith's hut is over that way, and beyond him, a general store. Pass those and you'll be off the bridge and on the trail to Hoohoo Mountain!"

No corpse leaving. Either we revive it or sell it to a main villain.

On that matter, to the general store. We dont have any money or things to sell besides Mary-dee, but it will have to suffice.

Nah. It doesn't seem to slow Weegee down enough to bother dropping him.

We can visit the blacksmith later, maybe he can make Luigi something bad-ass out of the power star. General store would be a complete waste of time, since we're broke.

Not unless the rewards are great. Hint: They wouldn't be outside of an amazing dice roll.
