((Having one second person character and one third person character is confusing for me, so I'm just making them both the latter))

Luigi hides behind Link, giving him the signal to prepare a deadly COUNTER ATTACK TECHNIQUE: WALL OF HYRULE. Link prepares for the FIGHTER FLY's next attack and intercepts, chopping it in twain with his sword. 5 EXP gained! Luigi and Link LEVEL UP!

Luigi must choose between the following traits:

Inner Flame: Spend five MUSTACHE POINTS to become FIRE LUIGI for a few turns without the use of a FIRE FLOWER!
Combo Punch: Make two attacks on one foe at the cost of three MUSTACHE POINTS!
Value of Friendship: +1 to your own MAX LUIGI POINTS and MAX MUSTACHE POINTS for each party member.

Link must choose between the following traits:

Sword Spin: Attack two enemies at once at the cost of three MAGIC POINTS. Adds the MAGIC POINTS stat.
Tier Scaling: Upgrade your sword to the next tier for a few turns at the cost of four MAGIC POINTS. Does not stack. Adds the MAGIC POINTS stat.
The Fair Folk: Have a small chance to find stat-restoring FAIRIES with each turn.

Why? Because it will give Link a mustache(a 2 pointer, but still a mustache).

I mistyped, it gives LUIGI both those bonuses for each party member (including him). Trade-off between new abilities and just general stat bonuses.

Also, the stat bonuses for the abilities is a bit much. Since damage doesn't scale quite like my You Are In system, not having stat bonuses is not a big deal until later.
