Hmm, are Giant Badgers and Badgermen hostile toward eachother? If not, you could just stick 'em both in the jungle city and get the best of both worlds. Badgermen with Giant Badgers as war animals. And then surround each of those Giant War Badgers with a squad of normal badgers to make a Badger horde lead by Giant Badgers who are commanded by Badgermen.

I'm just going to dump a bunch of random ideas here.

1) Butcher them for food

2) Make an arena where gladiators can fight the badgers and other beasts that you might have.

3) KILL IT WITH FIRE!!11one!1!!!

4) Toss it in a pit full of nasty creatures and have them fight. Bonus points if there's a window coming from the meeting hall to entertain dwarves who are eating.

5) SACRAFICE THEM FOR ARMOK!!

6) Let them starve inside their cages

I like modding them to be tameable and trainable. If I could, I'd assign them specifically to important dwarves, so they have a nifty "honor guard."
