Since I've noticed several people posting about themselves several times, I'll post as well a few more personal things. Last one was 100% true though.
Current worries:
- FINISH THE FUCKING ENGLISH ESSAY! Hamlet is a horrible play, especially a horrible one to analyze but you have to get this shit over and done with. I know it sucks. You have until the 10th to complete it and an Economics exam the very next say, get your shit together man. You've wasted all of Christmas reading books and playing games (public Wi-Fi, on holidays so no internet really) but it's time to get back to work. I am most dissapointed in you.
- Note I'm talking in second person. I want you to be a different person. Also, more compliments. They've been working out so well! It's amazing how far a compliment can go, it's time to stop getting cheap laughs by being a dick and make people true friends and still laugh along together. These are the best times of your life man. Enjoy them!
- I really can't stand acne vulgaris. Either get full blown acne on both sides of my face or even better, the whole thing should go away. Also, Clearasil sucks. I hope you will have found a better solution. It did help out but not as much as intended.
- Amazing how George didn't want to tell me about his parents breaking up, his oldest friend. Sure, we only see each other, what, 4 times a year? But come on, living a lie in front of me for 2 years straight? Christmas 2011 proves to have been the first time you didn't see him since moving away from where you grew up. You've got to think up of something appropriate. It makes sense as you've heard the divorce has only been getting into bad territory as of recently. I guess his little sister is taking it quite badly. Anyway, you must send him a message or something on Facebook. This is the one guy you were never able to read through like a book (unlike Chris, hahaha, you can almost predict what he's going to say, literally). You need to try to understand him to restore the friendship or you'll be having a lot of boring holidays!
Other stuff:
- You will almost be done with Sixth Form. It's been a lot better than High school so far and these are definitely being the best times of your life, but you're still a virgin. We agreed, no prostitutes. Now that would make you a class-A loser. How can you be such a cool guy yet not have had a girlfriend in so long? Goddamn you. Goddamn you, Ruth.
- You know what? You're not socially awkward like the others here and you know that all too well, but you've never had success with girls. Put your goddamn beauty standards down. It's not misogynistic, but sort it out. Ruth, Ruth and Ruth, but she'll never come to you. You've rejected what, 3 girls now while fantasising about this girl you hardly know? You're the real loser here. Because you have this ability--not a natural talent because the anti-social people posting here are a minority. But they will win eventually, someone will love them for who they are. People do love you. But you're just a dick. You'd better have gotten laid in 2012. Hopefully you've had a holiday with Abigail and became much closer friends.
- Better idea. You will have met Ruth. You will have spoken to her. You haven't even seen her in months--whatever, it's time to end this charade of lucid dreaming every damn night and waking up and having hallucinations of her lying with you and you smoothing her hair. Make it real. Fuck you, brain.
- You better have had a relationship with someone else. Hope ginger breaks up soon. She'd fly into my arms anytime rather than her current boyfriend's, me thinks. So many choices, so little time. And one of them is not Ruth. And you haven't even had a shot with her yet! Just get over yourself already, it's eating you away, this matter. Sort it out and get on with your life.
- Oh yeah, your ego still occasionally crops up in conversations. You need to learn to give up and not be such a stubborn douche. You haven't even been laid yet. You are not superior to everyone else. Quite really, Yannanth. You overdo it with the self-esteem at times, I guess you're the opposite of most here in a way. This is changing, but you cannot say "Yep, I'm the perfect guy now", that's not going to work and it's just going to make you a dick again like with Dave. What an ass you were back then. You reconciliated but it's not the same, never was to be. But that was 4 years ago! You need to be more selfless from now on. Compliments always help. That's why you hang around with the best people, because you can always give them compliments. Be nice.
I'm not going to lie, a lot of this comes off as... kind of creepy. Stop putting so much emphasis on "getting laid", and obsessing over people so much. It isn't healthy. And hoping that someone else's relationship ends just because it'll be good for you... that's unhealthy
and creepy. Not only are you obsessing over getting sex/a relationship, you appear to be doing it from an extremely selfish perspective seemingly without considering the fact that things like that are supposed to happen on a mutual level, not through you scheming about which girl would "fly into your arms"
if only their relationship were to end with their current significant other. It's a really bad sign when you hope things don't work out between other people just so you can get a shot at them yourself. That's not how you care about another person. You're assigning significance to people in your life that they really have no reason to have; why is this "Ruth" even so important to you if you apparently don't even talk to her? That's kind of stalkerish behavior, to obsess over someone whose presence in your life doesn't demand nearly the level of significance you're ascribing to her.
Also: "You're not socially awkward like the others here and you know that all too well". This is pretty arrogant and insulting to the rest of us, and judging by the content of your post, I have to wonder how true it is. You're spending both your days and nights obsessing over people and placing a bizarre amount of nearly-ritualistic emphasis on finding a girlfriend and losing your virginity, and don't seem to know how to engage in interpersonal relationships at all organically or mutually, yet you're going to insult the rest of us like that? Come on, now. I wouldn't be nearly this harsh, but when you put yourself up on a pedestal like that while insulting everyone else... well, I don't take kindly to that.
