I recently bought a digital copy of Tropico 4 during the big Steam sale, but I can't get it to run again. I installed it, used the key given to me, and played normally for a few hours earlier today. Now when I try to start it up again, I can't use the launcher or figure out how to (screenshots below). It is not a problem with Steam, and I tried moving the taskbar and messing with the screen resolution, but nothing works. I'm on a 1336x736 windows 7 laptop.

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough on anything, I'm a little mad that I can't enjoy being Presidente anymore. I already tried contacting Kalypso customer support, but they're on holiday break until January 2nd.

I can drag it down like so with my mouse, which is normal


But when I try to drag it up to expose the feilds


It snaps to this position, which is even worse.

Can't see your screenshots. Try using a normal image hosting service like imgur

I'm not familiar with Tropico 4, but see if you can hit those buttons below the password field. One of them is likely start.

Failing that, see if there's a config.ini or preferences.ini or something.ini in the main Tropioco4 directory (Alternatively, wherever Tropico 4 stores saved games in Win7). Changing it to fullscreen here might work, but I'm not optimistic on this.

Sorry if you already tried these, but I'm not sure what else would work other than plugging it into a full monitor.

I found a workaround where I would launch it and play via the Steam store page for it, but then that stopped working. I then figured out that it was a login feild, and I could barely click the "register" button. So I made a Kalypso account (apparently for achievement tracking, but that's what Valve is already doing) and now I can enjoy it again. I'll lock this thread soon.

Thanks for the advice! It didn't help, but it's the thought that counts.
