Dear flamoot, you are treating this forum thread like it's a programming blog. Half the posts made by others have been on trying to 'fix' how you use this thread, not on what your actual problem is. Your communication protocols are too different for most forum members to follow, as such you won't get much (if any) meaningful input to your problem.

It is very unlikely that Toady would help with this problem, as the problem was likely created by someone else's program.

There's a whole protocol for getting bugged savegames looked at. I almost got it in but I went and nervously admitted I'd edited the raws thinking it mattered which it turns out it doesn't but now no-one will fix my twenty year old fortress with thousands of trapped goblins

OP, a bit of Internet etiquette:

When you post on a forum, it's considered rude for the same person to post more than once in a row; this is called "double posting". If you need to add something to your post, you can look for the "edit" button on your post (most forums have one; this one does) and add to your first post. Once someone else has posted, you can post again.

I pictured it more as a race against time thing. Like he's in a space station that that's about to explode, or an assassin just broke into his house and he can hear them approaching the door.
