Ok, I'm confused as to whether DT or DF is causing the crashes simple fix:

Copy your world into another file, delete DF, redownload DF, place your world into the saves folder.

Or delete DT, and redownload it.

Why did I go and update and mention the raws at all? I swear to god if toady one would have looked at this for one hour he could have uncorrupted it

I'm running it in a freshly downloaded version of the game now. But the raws are not what broke it. It was DT, it did something stupid to it. If it takes like an hour to trigger it is on something totally specific and obscure. I just wish there were debug symbols in the linux binary, then I could do it myself. I'm waiting for it to crash now. But when it does there's nothing I can really do

If it doesn't crash it was the raws, right, which it definitely wasn't

I edited them a long time before I tried DT in 64-bit which resulted in these crashes promptly

I am not sure if he is claiming that it crashes because of raw edits or Dwarf Therapist, is he wanting help to fix it, or is he just raising his post count

I think it's something to do with Toady not wanting people to be able to debug themselves actually...i vaguely remember a shitstorm over someone doing just that when he accidentally released the tools to do so with an update. Or i could be making it up, but i believe the problems you are having is by design

It hasn't crashed yet but it will for the same reason without my edited raws I'm sure because every other fortress I ran in that world post-world-gen didn't segfault when I was using DT in 32-bit and more carefully

Basically I shouldn't have mentioned I edited the raws, it was out of laziness, I could have tested if the problem happens without the edited raws myself then not said anything when it did, which it will

I gather that the games crashing and he submitted it as a form of bugreport to Toady to figure out why. He mentioned that he edited some raws and Toady went "Well warranty is void i'm not looking". Our joker avatar'd friend here tried to debug but DF seems utterly lacking in any ability to be debugged and using Therapist to generate..a what, bug report? Isn't working that well either. Hence my post about Toady frowning upon people debugging his games basic code for him.
