And maybe let them flash like the First Guardians of Homestuck, or Acanthus's avatar?
Shit you're right. Gimme a minute.

What about the holiday ones? Although not really this year everyone used to add hats at Christmas and that one year we all went zombie for Halloween.

And... Well. Armok...

Mine is a stylized illustration of The Rocketeer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rocketeer#Comics), my childhood hero.  He was a cavalier square-jawed Yank who flew around LA in a jetpack fighting Nazis, rescuing damsels in distress, etc - what's not to like?

I find it's pretty much a role-model to live by, summed up in that avatar.

I was on IRC, on #127.0.0.1  (there's no place like home, right?)
Just talking with people, when I said something in lolcat-style pidjinspeek (a habit of mine) and appended "dood" onto it, like Prinnies do (also a habit of mine). Thus was born the concept of... teh lolPrinny, dood.

So I took a picture of a Prinny (this one is from Makai Wars, I believe) and used GIMP to put words onto it. But after playing a couple Disgaea games I don't recall ever hearing of cheezburgers, let alone Prinnies eating cheezburgers, but in 3 you can abuse the PA system to have a pizza delivered.

"I can haz cheezpizza, dood?"

(previous avatars of mine include a .gif of Steven Stills ranting at Scott Pilgrim, and a bunny with a cinnamon bun on its head... a cinnabunneh.)

Originally walked the forums without an avatar for quite a bit... but, decided to grab this pic from way back when.  Its supposed to be an OC character from the world of Ninjas and Naruto...
An artist from there made it for me I suppose... he had a DA account, but... he has not updated in a long long while...

RE: Origin of 'Pleased_Techpriest' pictograph

Pictograph (designation #550423 'Pleased_Techpriest') was unearthed during a routine excavation of a lost Imperial world (designation '53-Pi-Theta 8').
As an honoured and revered depiction of a noble member of the Adeptus Mechanicus
(designation unknown), it was chosen to fill a pride of place aesthetic location (designation '#avatar').
The annontation read below it ("You brought me an STC? You shouldn't have.")
is interpreted as the most mathematically precise statement in line with the pictograph itself.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Machine Spirit is to be revered.
