The internet. I may switch back to Anomander Rake sometime though, he's from The Malazan Book of the Fallen.

Arise, great thread, from the ashes, and accept my piece!

I have many avatars.

I have a total of 5 semi-original (I.E at least somewhat made or shopped to be an avatar) avatars:

Heavyface, from this video;
Cyclops's EMOTION FACE;
And Ace Combat 3's 3 main characters (your main character's wingmen; one isn't in there, but oh well).

3 of the other 3 avatars that I currently have are all frames from MSPA with the background turned into transparency. The last one is a shooped to be avatar-like Jim Carrey face that reminded me of the heavy face avatar.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Still Fate from Nanoha, but now in a less obvious-magical-girl way and more of a better scaling knight-ish person.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I've got a trend of people sending me PMs with similar images to be my avatar; this one is from Japa, and the previous was either Darvi or Kaijyuu.

My avatar?
Have you ever seen a pipe so goddamn magnificient in all your life? My avatar has far less to do with nazis and far more to do with the pipe than anyone would suspect. That pipe was the star of that movie.

George Banks, of Mary Poppins.

Once you think about it, Mr. Banks is the actual main character of Mary Poppins.

I'm enjoying looking back through this thread and seeing explanations that don't actually match the avatars anymore.

This is the first iteration that I did myself some 8 years ago. Yes, I know its horribly spelled, but its not like Claris Works is able to spell check images.

Some years after that, I got that turned into the one I have currently minus the shades.

I was kinda' sad, if unsurprised, to see my two possible alternate avatars have poofed out. Easy enough to find again, but still...

... o'course, actually using them would be contingent on someone meeting the challenge, heh.

My avatar used to be "asthonishing theory proffessor!", because i found it on knowyourmeme and tought it was funny ;_;

Then i dwarf-i-fied it in a possessed mood. (as that was one of the only times GIMP was working for me, and now it isnt again)

EDIT:

Ugh, incredibly clunky spelling and grammar.
