What's the origin of your avatar?
« on: December 22, 2011, 07:02:31 pm »

Shameless bastard Dwarf son of this thread.
Ladies and Gentlemen, and whatever creature you happen to be,

What, is the origin of your avatars! Bloody thrones and Daisies optional.
I shall start with mine.
I originally had a great Grizzly, with the mightiest of face palms. Alas, this was not to be, and I grew tired of it's assuming slumbering failure, and sent it to the butcheries. Her bones were made into a great door, which I admire to this day.
Then, my eyes had adjusted to ASCII, and BEHOLD!
GREAT WALLS OF [CREATURE_TILE:1]
And so, began the endeavours of a mighty Dwarf, a Human, and somehow a Goblin. Everywhere Dorf. And in some thread, I reckon I will never find to this day*, someone instilled the idea of a mad butcher of a doctor.

I originally had a melon with its inside showing because I felt like "a melon with no egg"--an unresolvable problem.

That kind of mutated into "food, food forever!"

I was planning on doing a presentation on Schroedinger for my English class, but after some detailed study I realized there was no way in hell I could condense and simplify this all to fit into five minutes, I did like his picture tho, seemed like a cheerfull fellow, so I took it :D

I started with Applejack looking thoughtful, and had the subtitle "Hrm..."

Since then I've changed to various ponies in less and less thoughtful looks. Now it's Derpy explaining her early humans theory.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Mine is a picture of Okuu looking rather pale and stylish.

Original picture is here.

I'd totally NEED a pair of gloves like those if I could stand to wear shoes. But as it is gloves without shoes looks kinda odd.

Lots and lots of ponies on turntables.

Plus the Elder sign and the Sonne logo.

Yaaaaaaay
A friend pal on the IRC I visit made this. I thought it looked cool like the hummingbirds in Cascade (lolololhomestuck) so I asked her for it and now it flaps away ceaselessly next to my posts.

And that brings us to a three way tie between MSPA, ponies and Touhou.
Unless you count Darvi's as Touhou, and then they are winning.

Also, taking all bets!

I made a avatar out of part of my previous background. Its this character from Nanoha A's (or StrikerS, couldn't really tell in the picture), because I wanted a new avatar and she's my current most favorite character.
