So, on a scale, coupons < coal < games.

So, perhaps instead of trading your coupons that are essentially worthless right now for coal, you could attempt to trade coupons for more coupons. If you have coal, well, you better hope anyone with a game wants a lot of coal, because you'll never trade it for a coupon. If you have a game, woo, no one is going to have enough to adequately satisfy you, so you might as well save it to use as a gift.

Because you might as well stop kidding yourselves.
