Filth Fortress
« on: December 22, 2011, 02:12:21 pm »

Idea had: to make a fortress as utterly vile and filthy as possible.  Any advice would be quite welcome.  I'm thinking get some cave adapted dwarves to harvest the power of vomit, disabling any kind of cleaning labors, and murdering any invaders in the main halls where everyone can watch.  Any other ideas?

Catch a couple animals and let them loose inside your fortress and wait for your military to kill them or put some weapon traps (serrated disk) to chop them up in pieces.

You can also make a Dwarven Bathtub, but instead of water inside it kill animals in it. Then let your dwarves walk across it, spreading the blood.

Capture loads of goblins, strip them, then shove them in a cage inside your dining hall rigged to a lever. Make sure your military is on hand.

Be 100% sure they are stripped. "Laughter" is one letter away from "slaughter."

Also, make sure to enable blood spreading in your d_int and you should also probably turn of rain. It washes away the blood off the tiles outside (I assume it also washes your dwarves).

Scatter single tile refuse stockpiles all over the place. Put some in the corners and around the center of your dining hall.

This might be very difficult to do but you might try caging and taming slug people. Then you could have them roam around your fortress spreading slime.

I don't think you can tame sentient creatures, as far as I know slugmen are sentient.

Tigermen can be tamed, because they have the [PET] tag.  Slugmen don't, so you can't tame them without modding.  Also, I don't think slugmen actually leave slime trails

How about cave blobs?  They leave trails of cave blob fluid everywhere they go.  I don't know if they're tamable without modding, and their fluid causes skin blisters on contact, which might be more than you want to do.
