"It's to the northeast of town. Oh, and if your plan fails, I'm not leaving. I won't be participating in your ruse, either. I'll keep watch. When I see any paladins, I'll throw a rock at the door of the house. Keep an ear out."

>Wait for paladins from a distance. Throw rock at door once one is spotted.

[Weirdsound]

"We ain't throwing the party now, and I don't expect you to be there when it happens. I was hoping you would interrogate the Paladin if we catch one though. But if you want to take first watch tonight, go right ahead. Wake me up when you get tired."

On his watch Donitz composes a quick song about conspiracy and secret plots.

[Shoruke]

Eosri goes to see the chief about a Track Self spellbook.

[Skyrunner]

"...Hmm. Fine. Human, remove your tent, and I shall guide you to our sorcerer. In case you happen to be a fake."

The hobgoblin waited.


The night passed without incident.

Some guards reported that rumors were spead out about illegal substances.
A package of twenty white masks that covered the eye area was delivered to the base of operation's doorstep.


The chief, a female elf with rich purple hair, greeted Eosri. She gave a Track Self spellbook for free, because Eosri had a special mission. She then gave Eosri a large bottle filled with a thick, bright yellow substance. Its consistency was like that of syrup.

[Weirdsound]

Donitz turns to Griph. "Would you care to search out a good location sort of nearbyish for us to Interrogate a Paladin? I have some preparations to make in town."

[Lillipad]

"The house is a good enough location."

[The Fool]

Zario quickly undid his tent and placed the pack on the horse, speaking as he tightened the packs. "We'll proceed on foot if you don't trust me. I'll just walk the horse alongside. If Kecepe isn't nearby I might need the horse again." He grabbed the reigns of the horse and walked over to the hobgoblin. "I'm ready to go when you are." He had a sheepish grin on his face the whole time, and it was clear that he was enjoying watching them voice their paranoia towards humans.

[Weirdsound]

"Too close to the city, and the Paladins who come to the party might tell the others where they are going before they come. I'd rather make them waste time searching for us. It might take awhile for our new friends to break down under our torture, and I'd hate to be interrupted before we finish."

[Lillipad]

"Convoluted methods that require more energy than they produce. If I didn't know you, I'd think you were a paladin."

[Skyrunner]

"I'm ready to go when you are." He had a sheepish grin on his face the whole time, and it was clear that he was enjoying watching them voice their paranoia towards humans.

The hobgoblin brought up the back, and the masked goblin led.
Two hours of hiking later, Zario crested a low hill and saw ... a great stockade of tent upon tent, made of cracked and improperly cured leather. The stockade was made of large logs that were rooted into the ground. Humanoid figures were milling around, some of which seemed to be goblins.

"Human, behold the great base of Fomorian kind. Go find blue tent. Get approved by sorcerer."
The hobgoblin and his masked lackey ambled off .



Lyliss poked Donitz. Look, someone's coming. She pointed out the window.

[The Fool]

Zario walked through the camp looking over the scene trying to find a blue tent. He made his way to the blue leather tent, trying to avoid making eye contact with the Fomorians as he walked. He knew that at least some of them loathed humans with a passion, and it was best to not set them off. He called into the poorly cured tent when he reached it. "Hello? I'm here to be approved." His tone was flat and unexcited. Though this was exactly what he was looking for he may not be welcomed warmly.

[Weirdsound]

Donitz checks out the Window. "What have we here? A Heaping dose of fun I wager? Simple is boring Griph, so what complications come this way?"

[Lillipad]

"Complications that won't be seeing me here."
>Escape through the back with Lyliss

[Skyrunner]

"Hmm... what do we have here?"
A hobgoblin, tinged black, and holding a gnarled staff was in that tent.

"I'm here to get ... 'approved', whatever that is."

Approve... I see. Come here.

The sorcerer set its hand on Zario.

Hmm...I see... you do have a slight aura of the Dark God. It seems that some of it is not from you, human. Do you have a ... Fomorian related artifact with you?

"Complications that won't be seeing me here."

Griph picked up Lyliss and opened the back door. He stole away across the plain of high grass, making sure to conceal himself well.

A man hammered on the front door of the previously abandoned house.

[The Fool]

He thought about it for a second, and then exclaimed, "...Actually I think I do." Zario dug into his bag, and pulled out the leathery orb handed to him by the succubus. "A succubus handed me this with her last breath. I followed her instructions on what to do with it, but nothing happened. Is this the artifact you're thinking of?"
