Zario hated people pestering him like this more than most things, but he wasn't exactly in a great position. He looked at the girl with a snarl and a glare, "Fine! I'll try it! Just stop yelling. Hand me my pack, and I'll go." New and improved... what exactly are they getting him into? Zario didn't want to even think about it.

I've got it, right here! the girl continued to shout.
My name is Lylis, by the way! Not that I'll see you again!

Another man lead both of them into the bright sun of Dunbarten's morning. He was lead to the town square, where the huge machine was waiting. It looked suspiciously like a catapult, but it did have a large number of pipes and glass vessels on it. In his short lapse of concentration, Lylis shoved something hard into his mouth.

Chew!

>Search for who's selling the siege device.

Griph was looking around the siege machine, when he saw a certain familiar face framed by red hair exiting a building. He was being led by an armed city guard and a young, blonde-haired girl. She was also wearing shirt and pants the color of honey, completing a yellow-theme. Griph and Zario's eyes met, just as the girl shoved something into his mouth.

((Not the best of subtle confrontations, eh? >.>))

"Excuse me, but what are you doing with that thing there?" Griph pointed at Zario after calling him a thing.

Zario avoided eye contact with Griph in a poor attempt to ignore him before getting teleported. Zario chewed the object. It was either this or prison, and he was sure that Griph wasn't even going to let him get that far. Hopefully he could be exiled before Griph stops the charade. I mean technically he was getting exiled, but it was hardly disadvantageous.

Donitz drums his fingers on his Lute, grining slightly as he tried his best to resist the urge to break out his new song in Zario's presence. "I think they got him Griph."

"I don't know, something seems wrong about all this. He's capable of escaping a few guards or a golem without dying, so why is he here?"

The guard ignored Griph and Donitz and kept on leading Lylis and Zario to the machine.
The thing in Zario's mouth broke apart like candy. It tasted like somewhere between honey, mead and milk. It also made him feel warm.

What am I doing? I'm throwing Mr. Red over the sea!, said Lylis in an excited voice. He's my proof of concept! She made sure Zario had eaten the whole thing, then started feeding crystals to an alchemy device.

Zario looked at the girl worriedly. The thought of becoming a human projectile wasn't exactly what he had planned. "Wait... Proof of concept!? Please tell me you've used this thing before!" He started going over what had just happened. Wait. The candy. Why did she feed him a candy at a time like this? "...What did you feed me!?"

Lylis looked at Zario with her head tilted to the side.
Of course I used this before! Only on objects, though... Fion at the other side always received only pieces though!

She then looked at Zario's expression and added, It's okay, the candy I gave you should break your fall... In case it doesn't, at least it'll break your neck! Or back. Or spine. Or legs. Her childish humor was disturbing.

Erm, just don't think about it, 'kay?

"I'm all for his execution, but I refuse to acknowledge it being done outside of the law like this. What would it cost to get him out of that contraption and into my custody?"

"This contraption is the law, boy." The guard, who was a male with his visor down, intoned in a gravelly voice. "Are you perhaps attempting to bribe the law?"

"Oh yeah. That's real comforting. I'd rather not break my neck." Zario looked around only to see both the guard, and Griph. With both of them there he couldn't make a break for it. He would be caught almost immediately. He swallowed hard. No escape now. "...Just do it."

Hmm.. there we go! Lylis kicked the machine with her small foot, and it clunked into life. If you are weak of heart, or afraid of heights, I could give you a sedative...? She looked at Zario expectantly.

"This contraption is a weapon of war, and war is not the law. Any money I pay for his release into my custody would go to the city, and not you. Now, how much will his release cost. Or would you rather I report what you're about to do to the leader of the city, and to the church?"

The guard cocked his eyebrow, or probably would have, but it did not show.
"This is an approved exile and deportation, signed by the paladins and backed by the Alchemist Organization. If you wanted to pay money, you could not bribe me anyways. I do not have the authorization to stop actions of the law. Go to the leader of the city if you may: the mayor does not have any power over this."

He waved towards Lylis to start the deportation.

This is not a war engine, mister! protested Lylis. It's a mean, lean, deporting machine! Of science! Science is not warrr!! She pouted, and also started loading Zario into where the rock would usually go on a catapult. It just looks like one because I didn't have enough money to make a new machine!
