"From the looks of it you just gave that guy a bad deal, now I want a horse at a reasonable price. I can tell what such a price is now think carefully about your next words." Alexander grasps the handle of his scythe for a moment, before pulling it away.
"You'd better not be lying about this horse, being a good horse." Zario placed the money his hand with a hand on the handle of his crimson blade. "If it turns out to be sickly or weak, you can expect a visit from me and I'll slit your throat myself." Zario smirked at the dealer, knowing that something was up with this deal. "But if you're telling the truth then you'll be just fine."

The dealer was alarmed by two strong, weapon-bearing young men threatening him. Eyes widening, he said,
"Hey, I was just trying to make a living and ..."

A menacing half-draw of Zario's sword silenced him.

"Okay, okay, I'll admit your horse is 30k. You over there with the overlarge farming tool, take the brown horse with white spots for 29000 gold. That's final!"

He then muttered something about "better hire guards now" and waited for payment.

(Don't do that TF.)

Griph's arms were crossed. He stared Ferghus right in the eyes.
"Oh really now?"

"Yes, of course," said Fergus with a hint of annoyance.

"How low did you think such a nice piece of armor would be, lad?"

"Thats more like it." Alexander said to the man, and handed him a bag of gold before giving a quick smile to Zario.

Take the horse, go get my food, and return home to prepare for my journey.

Donitz heads to the smithy, looking to buy a decent one handed weapon in the 10-20k range. "If I'm going to have my Lute playing itself, I'm going to need something else to mess people up with..."

Zario dropped his sword back into the sheath with a click, and handed the horse dealer 34,000 gold with a cold stare. "I appreciate the honesty, but don't let it happen again." Zario turned to Alexander and nodded without even a smile, "Thanks." He walked over to the horse, checked the saddle strap, mounted his new horse, and rode out of the stables and out of town.

Take the horse, go get my food, and return home to prepare for my journey.

Alex payed for the horse, and led it into the school's backyard, where there was a stable for current and past students. He left it there, picked his meat up at the food store, and went home to prepare for his journey. He picked up some bandages laying in his house.

"Well then, it was nice doing business with you."
>Buy iron mail armor

Griph placed his iron mail in his pack.

He walked over to the horse, checked the saddle strap, mounted his new horse, and rode out of the stables and out of town.

Start traveling down Dugald Alley?

Donitz heads to the smithy, looking to buy a decent one handed weapon in the 10-20k range. "If I'm going to have my Lute playing itself, I'm going to need something else to mess people up with..."

Fergus greeted him. "What are you looking for, lad?"

Donitz smiles. "It looks like I've got some adventuring in my future... Long story short I'm in the market for something that can hurt people without being too cumbersome."

Suddenly an idea flashes across Donitz's mind, and he plops his two rusty swords on the table. "Actually I did find these. If you think these could be decent weapons, I'd hire you to polish them up instead..."

Dugald Alley was the first obstacle, but it would be nothing to a horse. First things first though, I need to get far away from town and set up camp. There were things to burn...

Griph saw Donitz plop his two swords on the table and asked for a polishing. Remembering the last time Griph had asked Ferghus to polish something for him, he hurriedly grabs the weapons, pulls Donitz to the side, and begins whispering.

"You don't want to do that, friend. Trust me. If you want those blades put back into a workable state, I can escort you to a city, just please don't trust Ferghus with this job."

Alexander spent several minutes making sure he had everything gathered up, and put into a bundle for when he leaves. Once that is done he decides to go the the smithy, and say his farewells to Fergus, and hopefully any of his fellow students who may be there.

Go to the smithy

"In all likelihood the blades are not valuable enough to protect from Ferghus. If he wrecks them, so be it... However with my luck as of late they could actually be awesome... hrmmmm..."

Donitz pauses in thought for a few seconds before giving into Griph's request and turning to Ferghus. "You know what, never mind the polishing my good man. Just set me up with a solid one handed sword."

Dugald Alley was the first obstacle, but it would be nothing to a horse. First things first though, I need to get far away from town and set up camp. There were things to burn...

Zario urged his horse into an easy trot and headed down the scenic path. The dirt path was well-ridden, and was wide enough for two horses and a walker. At first, he was hemmed in by trees, but they slowly thinned out. As the sun progressed across the sky, the alley widened, until it flared into a small basin. In it was a camp with logs stacked everywhere, men chopping logs and felling trees, and a general babble of people talking. A sign proclaimed, "Welcome to the Dugald Woodscamp!"

Fergus seemed downcast by the lost opportunity to wreck another poor hap's weapons, and handed Donitz a 'longsword'. He asked for 8200 gold to pay for it.

Alexander walked to the smithy and found Fergus talking with Donitz and Griph. Fergus looked sad.

Zario didn't want to stop for long, but he also had very little idea of the specifics of the monster village that lays days ahead. He trotted into the logging camp and stepped down from his horse while he looked for someone to talk to that might even have the slightest idea about the village.

Alexander threw 20,000 gold coins down onto the table in front of Fergus, and said "Payment for the rest of the scythe plus interest. Sorry its a bit late." Alexander gives him a big grin, looks at the other two, and says to Fergus "Well figured I better tell someone I was leaving, and I still owed you some money Fergus, so there you go. You got some daggers I can buy before I leave?"

"I've got some business to take care of before we leave, bard. Prepare whatever supplies you wish, then meet me at my house at the school."

>Trade in five more bank notes.
>Buy fire, lightning, and healing from the magic teacher at the school.
>Put on new armor at home.
>Meet up with Donitz
