"Join in in...what?"

Raynold asked carefully, observing Alex's expression.

"Any wars that pop up, and battles that are soon to be fought. If I end all of them I can quickly then fewer suffer." Alexander replied with a puzzled expression.

Sleep and then hit the general store. See if I can get the contents of the box, and the sealed scrolls appraised. Cough up some gold if required. Start asking around for work that could bring me to the nearby city.

The general store's keeper, Malcom's eyes were huge when he saw the box.

"That is one very fine box of traps, Donitz. Where did you get them?"
He went on to say that most trapboxes came with instruction manuals, and without them it would be pretty hard to use them.

The sealed scrolls were actually not sealed that strongly; they popped open by merely slitting a string. The reflective surface of each scroll was scribed, or rather inlayed with black characters. Also known as notes. The first scroll was titled, The Ice Queen's Trap; the second titled The Little Spider.

Donitz tried asking for any jobs that would take him out of Tir Chornale, but none were available. He was told to either stick to one of the graduates (since they were mostly warriors) or to go to Dunbarten, two days' walk away, and ask for jobs there. Dunbarten was the center of commerce this side of the continent, even more so than the capital.

Zario scratched at his red hair which was standing horribly on end. After getting dressed and having breakfast Zario started packing some basic supplies, like food and what little camping supplies he had from home. He knew he would probably not be coming back home anytime soon. Walking out the door Zario made his way to the general store to buy whatever other supplies he needed.

(You have one hundred thousand gold :P)

First, Zario raided his pantry and got some four days of food into his bag.

He then visited the general store. He bought two water skins and one glass jar (the jar was for free). He also got a tent and a 30 feet coil of rope. It cost him 3300 gold in total. He then made his way to the church to get ten small bottles of blessed water. He was informed that "the church does not sell blessed water," and that he would have to either "collect one dozen (12) eggs" or "make one bag of flour or barley" to get three bottles of blessed water. A passing adventurer asked him if he would buy blessed water from him for 1800 gold a bottle. The passerby had 24 bottles for sale.

Alexander turned, and walked away telling Raynold over his shoulder, "I never said I was going to become a Paladin I just want to fight. That path will take far to long, and I need all the time I can muster."

Griph went to sleep, still disturbed by the succubus appearing and the crazed freaks who tried to communicate with it. His rest was mostly fine, save for a few small flashes of heat and cold.
Griph woke up the next morning rather displeased with how he left the book, and immediately went back to reading, trying oh so desperately not to rip the book and its terrible grammar in half.

Make 4 bags of flour using a local mill. You'll just leave tomorrow I guess, but at least you'll have your supplies.

((You never know. There could be a really expensive book. :P))

Go to the General Store

Alex trekked to the general store. Malcom welcomed him. "What did you come here for, Alex?"

:?

The final 20 or so pages were left.

-...and thus, the journey of Arcane Magicks is compleate. -

From that sentence, the way the book was written changed 180 degrees around (also known as 1 pi radians :3). The sloppy, double-printed lines that gave Griph an additional headache changed to crisp letters, and the confusion between magic, magik and magick was unified into magic. The bold type taught Griph more than the preceding hundred pages did. It told Griph that Chain Casting was a skill that gave the castor a chance of casting more than one instance in a chain, and the ability to cast two low-level magic at the same time. Griph stood up, and dropped the now finished book onto the floor; coursing through his brain was new-found knowledge of magic. He experimentally charged an icebolt, and two popped into existence. Oh, if only he knew the other three magic spells ...

Griph walked to the bank and cashed two 10000 gold notes into actual money.

After that, he walked towards the smithy with a purpose.

Furgus greeted him gladly. "Ho, young fellow! Why are you here for today?"

Make 4 bags of flour using a local mill. You'll just leave tomorrow I guess, but at least you'll have your supplies.

((You never know. There could be a really expensive book. :P))

Zario's back hurt like crazy. Apparently, all the wheat had to be collected by himself, too. He had to stoop in the fields for more than three hours, collecting forty bundles of wheat. He then had to go to the mill and use that for another half-hour. Still, he now had twelve bottles of blessed water in his hands for that effort. He also gained a small, sparkling rock that was in the stream.

(Expensive books = Higher magic. Ice spear's market price is roughly 3,000,000; Fireball 1,000,000; and Thunder some 2,500,000 :3)

"I came to buy two weeks worth of food, and water." Alexander replied before slamming some coins down on the table.

Buy two weeks worth of food, and water then browse the wares of the store.

"I need arrows. Your best ones. I'd also like to see any sets of armor you might have."

"Arrows?" Fergus chuckled. "You know as well as I that I ain't no master at making tiny things like that. This old man only has the basic-est of arrows and bolts. I also only sell short bows, which have too short a range to be really bows... As for armor, I have hardened leather armor, supple leather armor, and iron mail armor." Fergus pointed to a semi-hidden armor rack behind the weapon rack.

Donitz reads the seven tools book, in hopes that it is the instructions for the trap set. He also reads the piece of paper he got in the treasure room.
