Lasa started to cast a ice spell. With her wand high, she traced a circle with the tip of it. Above her head, thin plates of ice froze from the air and started adhering to each other, in a elongated needle shape.

With a flash of light the red spheres that circled him vanished as several firebolts hurtled towards the skeletons. He stepped forward as the bolts fired.

Or rather, the whole glob of firebolt separated into five, then crashed into the first skeleton he targeted. It dealt 140 damage and knocked the skeleton onto the ground. The ribcage and spine were blewn out, making the skeleton unable to move. Zario quickly dashed back in to the relative safety of the bear traps. The sound was rather distinctive, and the succubus and her guard all turned towards Zario. Noticing them, she ordered in a rather normal voice, "Bows!" Her voice wasn't all breathy, nor was it the Voice of the Legions, but just a normal 19 year-ish girl's voice.

Three of the remaining skeletons all drew their bows in one motion.

Attack the Succubus. Pray to Morrigan for the power to defeat my foe.

Alex charged after Zario. When Zario turned halfway through, he skidded to a stop and watched as Zario brushed past him. What he didn't see was the three bows aimed at him. Three arrows tipped with the same metal as their owners arched at Alex. The first one pierced his left arm, dealing 66 damage and flinging him way back into a bear trap. His other arm was unfortunately caught in it. Raynold observed that it was a Magnum shot, the equivalent of Smash for the bow. Beware of its powerful knockback, he mumbled. The second and third arrows clattered to the floor, and would not have found their target anyways.

Across the room, the succubus chuckled in delight. She started slowly walking towards them, placing one leather boot-clad foot before another, like a wolf.

Meanwhile, the six trolls started converging on the party. They flung everything they were holding at them. Metal, rock and other various materials hurtled through the air, but were stopped by the oval, sparks flying as they bounced off or were disintegrated. The black metal was intact.

Raynold lifted his sword into a vertical stance and waited for two of the trolls to come within his considerable reach.

Tactical map:

Right now, Alexander has 6 HP and some 52 wounds.
Lasa is casting a spell.
Donitz is playing a magical song.
Zario is waiting for the enemy to come.
Griph is waiting for the enemy to come.
Thrainn is waiting for the enemy to come.
Raynold is waiting for the enemy to come.

Zario pushed Alexander back with the hilt of his short sword."Get back damn it! Didn't you hear the plan!? I was bait." Zario charged past everyone and headed north to the nearest troll. He started talking at the succubus as he tried to kill the troll. "You don't need these trolls, do you? Let me get rid of them for you!" He grinned giddily as his blades flew at the troll in an arching cross.

"Calm your horses pyromaniac. The skeletons probably have bows, or some form of magic, and will probably start attacking us from over there soon. We're going to use the trolls as meat shields for when that happens, try not to kill any until the skeletons are down. Leave drawing the trolls to me, you focus on taking out the skeletons."

Alexander took out his three potions, and mumbled "I'm going to get poisoned from this, but hell far ..." then chugged all three. Before yelling out "Succubus leave my allies to your henchman, and let me be your opponent!"

If she replies yes then go fight her, if she says no start healing with my magic right away.

>Charge five icebolts and cast them on five different trolls.

Five trolls were assaulted by flying snowballs. Each troll received 29 damage and barely flinched.

Alexander took out his three potions, and mumbled "I'm going to get poisoned from this, but hell far ...

First, he ripped out the arrow.

The potions knitted up the wounds and staunched the bleeding, but it did not heal completely, and he could still feel a lot of pain.

He yelled
"Succubus leave my allies to your henchman, and let me be your opponent!"
, then started healing himself without listening for an answer.

The succubus chuckled again, and replied, "Why, but you are so ... impaired. I wouldn't want to hurt such a nice fellow without it being fair." She added, "By the way, your wounds aren't going to budge with your healing. I'd advise first aid with the bandages someone surely has; come to me after that, if you want to die so badly," before turning and motioning to her skeleton guard. They nodded affirmative, then started closing in.

He started talking at the succubus as he tried to kill the troll. "You don't need these trolls, do you? Let me get rid of them for you!" He grinned giddily as his blades flew at the troll in an arching cross.

The succubus said mildly, "Yes, please take those ugly brutes off my hands. Please." One of the skeletons assumed a firing pose, aimed and shot at a troll. It grunted at the unexpected friendly fire (it also received a critical 78 damage) and turned angrily. It was quickly subdued by more arrows from the other skeletons. It slumped to the ground, bleeding, as it died a horrible death by failure of vital organs.

"Surprise!"

The succubus laughed and clapped her hands.
The other trolls ignored the demise of their brother and kept going on.

Meanwhile, Zario attacked the closest troll. In a flurry of blades, 118, 48, and 61 was inflicted (6 hits). The very first attack landed in a critical spot, puncturing an organ and causing massive bleeding. By the final attack, the troll was half dead, by the looks. Before it could counterattack, Raynold ran over and skewered it with his long two-handed sword and flipped it over to the ground. It received 146 damage from the Smash. The troll was dead before it hit the ground. Zario learned how to use Smash from the real demonstration.

Lasa kept casting the spell. Donitz observed her cast two instances (each which made the icicle above her head larger) and start on the third.

The magical mirror in front of Donitz changed color to a deep red from yellow.

Tactical map:

Two trolls died this turn. One was killed by Zario and Raynold, the other by M_Skel_C.

Time to test what the mirror can do!

Donitz steps to the front of the group and begins to ad-lib lyrics to the song as he keeps playing, hoping to draw the skeletons fire into the mirror.

"Rattle-ling bones, rattle-ling bones. Judging from your facial structure,
losing your flesh was a cosmetic improvement.

You make feces look pretty, and a newborn child look skilled with the bow.
Never before have I seen such useless beings!
The gods will smile upon your impending destruction,
as you are all an offence to creation!"

Seeing the succubus laugh as the troll was filled with arrows made Zario laugh lightly himself. Flicking the freshly spilled blood off his blades he turned to the succubus. "Glad to see that you don't like the trolls either. It's a shame that there are still so many." Zario backed up a few steps and waited for a troll to charge at them, chanting to create Firebolts. With the bear trap only a step away he can dodge the attack and slaughter a troll while it's caught. He'd light up the troll even if it wasn't stupid enough to fall into the trap.

>Charge five icebolts.

Griph started casting Icebolts.

"Whoever has bandages could you hand them over, so I can try, and fix myself up?" Alexander asked.

Alex received some bandages from Donitz and started wrapping his wounds with them. Each wrap of the white, sterile cloth brought blissful relief from the aching wound.

Zario backed up a few steps and waited for a troll to charge at them, chanting to create Firebolts. With the bear trap only a step away he can dodge the attack and slaughter a troll while it's caught. He'd light up the troll even if it wasn't stupid enough to fall into the trap.

Zario stepped behind a bear trap and started casting a firebolt. Despite his best efforts, he could only cast one before the troll blundered into the teeth of a bear trap. With a resounding clang and a crunch of crushed bone, the troll let out a furious roar and walloped Zario with its club and dealt 20 points of damage before collapsing to the floor in pain. Zario stumbled back a few steps and lost control of the magic, losing his charged up bolt and suffering mana backlash.

Meanwhile, Alex wrapped up his wound as best as he could, using three bandages and curing 21 points of wounds.

Skeletons are busy doing other things. Just keep playing.

The shield color changed to blue again.

Attack succubus with all five.

Five frozen missiles pelted the succubus, hitting for 21, 21, 18, 17 and 28 damage. 106 damage was inflicted in total. Each attack caused a slight flickering of blue around the succubus. She ceased smiling and glared at Griph, as if she was accusing him of something. Languidly, she drew her large scythe and assumed a casual blocking stance. She ordered one of the skeletons to snipe Griph, and the complied. Each skeleton had a metallic sheen, and their eye-sockets held a small dot of light. They glowed a sickening yellow, and left a slight trail behind them as it moved surprisingly fluidly for a skeleton.

Lasa's spell now has four instances and is on its final casting.

Raynold dashed over to the unoccupied troll and started hammering at it.

Tactical map:

Mana backlash: When magic spells are cancelled mid-cast, the caster has a chance (depending on Intelligence and Magic Mastery) of receiving temporary damage to his maximum mana equal to double the mana consumption of the spell. This damage slowly regenerates over time.

Heal myself using the wand, and drink my last health potion.

Zario caught himself as he stumbled back, but the orb of red light that circled him burst. The lost spell caused a momentary lapse of vertigo, sending his mind into a miasma of disorder. Though it only lasted a moment Zario was mad as hell. "You'll pay for that in blood, troll." He quickly slid his blades forward as his feet shifted from the blade's momentum.
