Zario didn't want to stop for long, but he also had very little idea of the specifics of the monster village that lays days ahead. He trotted into the logging camp and stepped down from his horse while he looked for someone to talk to that might even have the slightest idea about the village.
Zario went straight to the person who seemed the least likely to question his motives : a teenage girl with large, innocent eyes that were a dark green hue. She was clutching a wand that told Zario she was a healer; and she was wearing a white robe with a green cross shape on it. The reasoning was that magic user = intelligent. At least Zario had never seen a dumb magic user.
Zario greeted her:
"Oh, hi! ""Do you know much about the other continent, what was the name ...""Eria? Oh, yes; I took Geography for one of my classes. It's the big continent across the ocean! It has a bunch of wild animals and stuff. There's this big plain called the Maize, and to the east a desert, Muyu. Next to that, a forest! After that is the river, and no-one knows what's after that. Back to Mai-"Zario cut off the deluge of unasked information.
"Are there any... large numbers of Fomorians in groups there? As in a small settlement of sorts?"The young healer pondered for a moment, then hesitantly said,
"Well, Maize is reeeeeeeeeeeeally big, so, who knows? If there was a settlement, it probably would be masked goblins or hobgoblins, since they live in the many Maize ruins."Zario thanked her and drew some distance away.
Alexander threw 20,000 gold coins down onto the table in front of Fergus, and said "Payment for the rest of the scythe plus interest. Sorry its a bit late." Alexander gives him a big grin, looks at the other two, and says to Fergus "Well figured I better tell someone I was leaving, and I still owed you some money Fergus, so there you go. You got some daggers I can buy before I leave?"
Fergus received the payment. "Lad, you don't need to pay this. I'll give you either three daggers or one 'stilleto', depending on what you need. If you're using the daggers to cut, take the regular ones. If you want a close-range weapon, the stilleto is your weapon of choice."
>Trade in five more bank notes.
>Buy fire, lightning, and healing from the magic teacher at the school.
>Put on new armor at home.
>Meet up with Donitz
Fire, lightning and healing books cost 28000 gold altogether. They were easy to understand, and Griph learned them all while waiting for Donitz.
