I have been reading wikihow about growling and screaming, doing it for some time, yet they aint as powerfull as i'd like to. And i'd like to learn how to sing properly, becouse i seem to make too high or too low notes. Advice please.

The only thing I've heard about metal growling is that apparently it's just breathing as if to fog a mirror, but hoarser.

The basics I know are "Don't hold back.  Metal screaming is going to permanently damage your throat.  Do it anyways."

First off, I know nothing of Metal singing techniques, so yeah. What I do know are it's disadvantages, so I'll just tell you that.

Constant screaming, especially if you're still new to it, will most definitely damage your throat in the long run. It might develop into cancer if you're lucky, so be careful.

As for general singing, if you have a piano or other instrument, try going through Do-Re-Mi while taking care not to sing flat notes.

Actually, smoking always helped me with the metally vocals, and I've heard the same sentiment repeated.  Not that I'm recommending the OP start up, it's a bloody evil habit.

As for actual advice, either join a (good) choir or (even better, if you can afford it) get yourself classically trained.

Your singing will naturally become more powerful as you have intense life experiences. Until that day comes, your best bet is to study with a good teacher so you don't develop bad habits or injury.

 @Growling/screaming: tip #1 - remember that 99% of the time spent learning to growl will be used to learn how to growl in a way that hurts your throat less rather than growling "better". Growling unprofessionally is actually pretty easy if you have either a very low or very high voice. Like with singing, a lot just depends on your voice.

Actually i try to growl not to hurt myself, it doesnt hurt me at all unless i try to growl all my heart out, then it does, but is very powerfull, but id rather like ways to growl as powerful but without throat pain. I guess practice.
And i have kinda high voice, and capable of doing strange noises and mimicking some animals.

Like anything in life: Find someone who can do it better than you and ask them to teach you.

Believe it or not singing isn't just talent (though there are people out there so talented they sound great without any practice)

It takes genuin practice to get those notes right when you start to edge to the end of your vocal range.

Listen to a lot of metal, all kinds, and you may pick it up. That's something like what the guy from cannibal corpse said anyway...

Yes. You must eat Masha Scream of Arkona, and then you will be able do growl and sing clean perfectly.
