I would prefer temporary vacuoles over bladders. Lower energy consumption, better for storage and we can use the bladders to fire blob slime at everything that moves :P

Very good point. But we should at least develop bladders(that's right, I said it plural) at some point to store fluids to... drink? Do slimes even need to drink?

According to my childhood experience slime is a drink.

So we won't drink we'll be making mixers.

But the tunnel is round. You can't put a square blob in a round hole!
