Backstory - (This is based in a semi-alternate Dead Space Universe)
The Space Station Icarus 29 has been chosen as the location of deadly new sporting event, The Gauntlet. In it criminals, or those who have been framed by the government are sent to fight, and try to survive against hordes of the dreaded Necromorphs, and other challengers. You are one of those chosen to be sent to Icarus 29, and it is up to you whether, or not you come out alive in this competition. Its a cruel world, and you just got thrust into the heart of it all.

In a battle ranged combat will take place first, and once one side runs out of ammo, or decides to go into melee then the melee phase begins.

As long as it makes sense in the setting, you cna make anything, of course that is if you have the supplies to make it. You could make a rocket launcher out of scrap metal, an air tank, a sring, and various other odds an ends. Or you could make a time bomb out of a watch, and plasma canister. So think up some interesting ways to kill those Necromorphs, and the other challengers.

For each kill you get throughout your time on the station you score, Kill Points, or KP which is the currency of this game. With it you can buy ammo, weapons, supplies, building mats., etc. Of course the stronger an enemy is the more points you'll get, and for killing other Challengers, or the Abandoned (Old challengers who hid away in the station) you get KP equal to the value of the persons gear.

Description: A thin, wiry male, with foppish brown hair. His grey eyes are cold and sharp, and his face angular. He tends to wear a special Bio-Synthetic suit of "Leather" armour, made from  special type of plastic, rendering it incredibly durable and strong.

Bio:  Artemis was a renegade, born into a middle-class life. His father was an ex-space pirate, who had rescued his mother in a daring feat of bravery. When Artemis was merely 13, his father left his family, and disappeared. Three years later, Artemis's mother passed away due to grief. He now has one one goal on his mind, Vengeance.

Job: Mercenary for hire.

Traits: Lucky: Artemis has always seemingly had an angel sitting on his shoulder, saving him from many horrible situations. As it is, he's very lucky. Slinger: In the space of a mere second, Artemis can whip out a pistol and put three bullets in your skull. Those who cross him never know what hit them.

Description: Scruffy, but tall and athletic. Very pale with black hair, blue eyes and an overgrown goatee. Almost always has a sharp, grim smile on his thin lips. Wears a ruined business suit that has pieces of his more protective clothing showing through.

Bio: Sinclair was raised in poverty, but quickly made use of his cleverness to worm his way out of squalor and into various unscrupulous business deals with various shady fellows. He was always careful to cover his tracks and managed to evade anything that could be considered a threat until one day, he slipped up.

Job: Conman

Traits: Persuasive- Sinclair is very good with words, and can swindle the careless into doing things they definently will regret Slippery- Sinclair is very agile and acrobatic, being able to escape from many situations.
