As long as it isn't on a sunday, sure, if we can get enough people in the same general time zone. (the Sword of the Stars game is usually sunday) How does AI War work with expansion/non expansion players at the same time? I know I have at least one of the things.

Also, yes, there is a demo. I think it has something like a 3-hour time limit for non-tutorial campaigns.
