Hey, everyone! 

I have a abandoned mine and there are sometimes Dwarfes in it.
Recently i have given a miner the task to mine out some stuff just to get a opal i have left there.
then i have took care of other things (he was off-screen then). After a while i looked back and what did
i see? "Fath Ducimthedak's mutilated corpse" WTF? I looked at the wiki and it said that only bodies which
bodyparts have been ripped/sliced of are a "mutilated corpse" .
HAUNTZ? DEMONZ? THE ORKX? does anyone have an idea what could have happened? i looked at the  reports
but it didn't log any fights. Thanks in advance!

Ghosts don't leave combat logs when they violently dismember your dwarves. More fun!

A Violent ghost will occasionally remove a limb or two, which can be fatal, the metalsmith in my previous fort had a hand ripped off in the statue garden by the ghost of a miner a while back,(the hand was never cleaned up, by the way, sat there for most of the life of the fortress) Make a slab, engraved with the dead dwarf's name, and build it, that should get rid of your dismemberment problem.

Ghosts can harm dwarfs?
My castle isn't safe anymore because i have had around 20 deaths and they are all "haunting" my castle.

Yeah, they wont always, most seem content to just float around being annoying, but there are "Violent" ghosts, who will rip living dwarves apart when they feel like it.

Then there's the ones that possess dwarves and cause murdering and riotry

hmm that would explain how one of my carpenters is missing a foot.
after reclaiming a 124 dorfs fortress which fell to sieges. i have so many ghost babies and dorfs that they outwin the living by a long span.

depending on how a dwarf died, the ghost may be a mere nuisance or a deadly threath

I had a COTG hack the legs and an arm off one of my dwarfs and those three limbs were left to rot until I abandoned. Because the Dwarf never actually 'died' he was never given a coffin and hence his remains were never stored because there was no 'place an item in tomb' job. I though of dumping the three unused limbs but I left them lying in the corner thinking that they dwarfed up the place. Needless to say, the guy spent the rest of his life dragging himself around by his only remaining arm.
