This is the Entrance to My Fortress.
The Fortress is Underground, inside a Cavern.
When You get to the bottom of the Stairs, You step out onto a Wooden Landing.
This is the Landing.
The Cavern is also incidentally quite big, and full of Water, starting from 5 Z-Levels below the Landing.

The Bridge on the Right leads to the Fort.
The Left leads to a Dump, where Garbage is thrown into the Water.
The Front one leads to a Well.
The Bottom Paths lead to a Well.

The trouble with forts is that they're underground. It's not really easy to draw one room inside a typical fort, let alone an entire fort.

Oh gods.
I just realised.
From the outside, a majority of fortresses simply look like holes in the ground, surrounded by blood, corpses and vomit.

Heh, my first thought was to draw a hole in the ground surrounded with piles of decayed corpses and a one z-level high perimeter wall. Was too lazy to actually do it though.

Personally, Id have a Barracks next to it, with a Barred and Bridged Entrance, so I could occasionally use the dieing, wounded stupid pathetic miserable scum left to rot in the hole Goblins/Elves to Train on.
I mean, it might endanger the Scorpions, but Im sure thats manageable.
