It turns out they didn't betray us. They were using us as training dummies, Apparently Merchant/Ante knows that it was going to happen...
Which is a load of crap because only Writzblitz was there and he's been around for awhile.

regarding riptide's attack, it seems that is was a training accident. They were training a new member and it seems their training party got carried away and decided to hunt us too. ( I believe original target was tim).
I spoke with nugster, he said he restricted any mission on us to training for intel gathering, so we shouldn't have similar problems in the future.

Which means, unless given further orders from the empress, don't do anything stupid like going there and asking for revenge.

I think Nugster offered similar training to some of our members too. considering our average skill, it is a thing to be considered.

I am guessing that the Hammersingers who were downed we ill prepared due to working on something else. Ambushes can be like that especially if the attackers focus on a target and split the folk apart. the sooner we get the walls claimed the better. We should be spending every night out in the desert killing mobs...

Anyway, that was fun and quite a change of pace for our quiet port. Now I know what I'm lacking in (especially equipment and bow accuracy) and what the city may need for its defences.

And it's time for me to think about a good trap for tim... Muahahahahaha!!!

Loled at the "average skill" part.  If you feel the need, go and train at Riptide.  I haven't been killed yet (mainly due to Theft4Bread and Tybi's training beforehand).

Please note, if you go to Stoneholm, take Enderpearls with you, there may be a trap that you don't see there and you may get stuck, like Charm did...

They are noted by pressure plates with glass blocks over them, and if you activate them pistons raise up blocks next to you, trapping you with no escape due to the plot protection preventing the destruction of blocks. An ender pearl can be used to escape this, but otherwise you would have to suicide.

I had an ender pearl with me.  And I had to suicide, since no one told me about it!
