.33b Human Wagons
« on: November 17, 2007, 03:16:00 am »

The new wagons are great, but I think they might be too great now.  They blew past the mules on the way to my trade depot.  All of them got there and unloaded before the mules even hit my front gate.  I thought they were supposed to be slower than mules.

Not that I have a problem with the change, but it feels as if it might have been taken too far.

Never understood this logic.

Whether a wagon is slower than a mule depends on a number of factors.

If there is less weight per mule in the wagon and the wagon is on a road ...

And if the mule is old, fat, and missing one leg...  seriously I could see a wagon beating a stupid mule. Only time I could see a mule being faster is for spots without smooth terrain (maybe uphill and/or rocky).

Since when are wagons supposed to be slower? Mules are... you know, mules.

I always figgered them mules were supposed to be pulling the wagons. Makes no sense that the wagons would be running off without them.

You can clearly see horses pulling the wagons. The pack mules just carry a little extra.
