To the mountains. Maybe we can organize something with the locals?

Head to the mountains with your loot in tow, then look for a primitive tribe; looking for some advanced tribe might just get you shot down instead.

Negotiate a deal with the tribals: You protect them, in exchange that they give a larger cave for you to sleep in, protect your hoard and worship you.

If you get a new cave, put your stuff inside it.

Finally, be adorable while doing all that.

What New Guy said.

Also, prefer mountainsides near the river. More food, higher chances of meeting a tribe! The cliff wall also makes some nice ground for making your own cave.

Edit: River also for swimming purposes.

EditII: Comparing you last year, to you this year...Wow, you're gonna become one epic dragon!

Size of cave, approximately 6 feet width.

Most creature grow a huge amount in their first year and slow down after, so we probably won't get to much bigger.

Yearly growth will slow for sure, but I doubt time skips will ever be just one year again, and we're most certainly going to grow quite a bit larger. I think I remember the cave being called rather small earlier by Araph, so I'd wager by the end we'll be about three times this size, give or take a few feet.

to the mountains!
We're already sorta water dragon, so desert: no way in hell.
Mountains mean epicness. so north-east.

Look for the settlements from high altitude. you don't want to land directly on them...

We want to be closer to a forest. Remember people, we still need to exterminate those koalas. They're even more frightening than the crab we faced.

Full agree, if they are primitive then whats the sight of a giant flying dragon be to them? If they're civilized then more so.

{We've never seen koalas}

Good point. We also know biology and chemistry.
...
In short:

>Head to the mountains! Preferably near the river/forest.
>Find a cave, or if lucky a tribe that we could negotiate deals with. {Not Godship.}
>If we have found a suitable cave and cleared it of vermin and stuff, hello Dragonhold.
>Be Adorable.

Anything I've missed?

We know what chalk is, and we've never seen that either.

Obviously we're from Australia and have in instinctual knowledge of its wild life.

But...we don't know what or where Australia is, we don't know where east is.

Add that one.
