Nearly All of my usernames across the internet are made up of some synonym for leader, followed by my(incredibly badass)initials. The title of King originally belonged to my Runescape account, but after the name changing update, it was freed up to be used elsewhere.

Mine came after beating Sonic Battle.  For those who haven't played, there is this awesome robot known as the Gizoid, which is really awesome.

I can't remember exactly where the -gin came from.

Wow, RuneScape has really evolved since the time I tried it for 10 minutes 5 years ago. When I looked at it, it was all top-down with horrible quality animations.

As opposed to the top-down game with horrible quality animations it is now?

I find it hard as a DF player to criticize any game with horrible animations and a top-down view.

Graphics and UI are only two parts of games, if they are sufficient in other areas I can look past them, just as I can look past some other issues for a really slick looking game. Ether way, I never said it was a bad game, which I believe nullifies some of what you were trying to say, unless you were being self contradictory.

Same here. But instead of GBA, it was an emulator on the first XBOX. Still have it there, I think.

Good animations or no animations > bad animations

It's like... would you rather read a book or watch a well-made movie than watch a crappily made movie?

Let's rerail the thread now. (I might add, that Runescape image is on 'a-bit-below-high-detail'.) The game has superb graphics for a browser based game, but if it were to be released as a console or proper PC game the graphics are indeed lackluster.

I got my username from Diablo II when i wanted to play as druid lycantrophe, so i called myself DarkWolf, but it was taken, so i though DarkWolfX would be nice.
DarkWolfXV got from Runescape in which Darkwolfx was taken.

My username dates back to pokemon sapphire.
I was originally calling myself BANJO - due to me liking the game, but i decided i would be a bit more creative and
I called myself Reivax (my name backwards :P). All was well in that wonderful time, but when japanese pokemon hgss
came out, I really wanted to play it, and with my name being Reviax, and japanese pokemon games only allowing 5 "ji"
I decided a letter had to go. I also managed to snag the username "Revax" on runescape so its fate was sealed.

When I was an annoying little kid playing counterstrike I chose Pheonix as my name... only I misspelled it as the city instead of the bird. But hey, I was 8ish.

Umm...  the bird and the city have the same spelling: Phoenix.

Uh, hm. My story's not really that interesting, but why not? OK, basically, me, my brother, my best friend, and his brother are just sort of a little group. One of the things we would do is try to make each other laugh by sitting around a tape recorder and just improving skits for hours on end. Eventually my friend got a camcorder and we were like, 'why not do the same thing with video as well as audio?' So we filmed a few 'movies' with ridiculous concepts and whatnot. In the second such 'movie' we did, a martial arts epic (:P), one of the roles my friend played was a slightly absent-minded scientist/salesman who would invent things and then try to sell them through the Home Shopping Network. The movie centered around one such product that turned whoever drank it into a martial arts master.

Basically, the scene in which it was introduced, he's describing the ingredients, and (I'm not sure in or out of character tbh) forgets what he was talking about and just repeats the last two words he said three or four times as if that was all you needed to hear to be sold on the product. Naturally, those two words happened to be 'serious concentrate.' That scene still makes me laugh even though it's been like eleven years, and when I decided to sign up here it was the first random thing that came to mind that A: I knew no one else would have and B: be pretty recognizable on sight. ^^^
