Yes there are tons of creativity you can do with each type. Those are all nice elemental types. I'd even put straight up darkness and light as Elemental types.

There's room for more physical types than furries as well. Just because you are the god of lizards does not mean you have to be a furry. You can ride a giant lizard into battle or have a pair of them trained with you or whatnot. Also remember that Physical types can be races, elves, man, humans, etc. Or even simple items, swords, axes, cheese... you can put humor in there as well.

I could probably put the same god in each of the three types, something like Suffering for Ethereal, Demons for Physical, and Unholy for Elemental. Could be all the same thing if you like. Also remember that your type, determines who your parents are from the Elder Gods. And that probably will make them like you more.

It might actually be cooler to have Kor be elemental stasis of some sort. Like existances bastardized reaction to time and decay. But im not sure if stasis would go as an element. Sorta more like a lack of them. Maybe ice/cold, which is a lack of heat, movement and reactions. Everything freezes in place.

The time for the challenge arrived, and Existence's voice rang out through the divine realm. "Very well, we have our challengers."

The seven demi-gods took their spots upon the cloud columns, as an image appeared in place of the floating earth. A bustling village is shown. Many people go about their daily lives, it is a pre-industrial city, with a castle guarding the town, and even a Cathedral to Existence to one side street. However the majority of the people do not follow any one particular god or demi-god.

The scene shifts and you are shot down a side road to a small unassuming hut. A young woman is standing there with a slightly large stomach, and an older man is raising his fist at the sky.

"I know yer up dere, me daughter be pregnant, and she be not with any man!" The old man is furious but seems strong in his conviction. "If she be not with a man, that means one o ye godly folk did it!" He slams his foot down into the dust and shouts at the heavens. "I demand ye send someone er somethin down here ta take responsibility!"

The image fades and shifts back to the floating Earth. Existence once again speaks. "This is your first challenge, you must choose what you will do about this, if anything." The booming sound floats all around with no visible source in sight. "You can take responsibility as the mortal wishes, or you can deny the accusation." A deep chuckle follows, "You can also prove your innocence, or frame another. Or perhaps you will simply ignore it, and promote your belief in other ways with your current followers."

"Now is the time to act. Call for help from your Elders, create items or beings of power, instruct or waylay those that exist. All to increase belief in yourself, and strengthen your godly power. Soon one of you will become a full God taking their seat among the Elders."

So, first turn starts now. The first challenge has been posted above. Challenges are totally optional but may grant you special bonuses or extra belief, followers, or power. Depending on how you choose to complete the challenge.

You may also ignore the challenge, and do whatever on your own. The only option that is currently not available is to directly attack or drain another demi-god, as the purpose of doing such is to claim power for yourself, and you all currently start at 0.

Feel free to roleplay yourself or anyone on your friend/enemy list that is not a player. React to what is going on from what others have posted. But remember to only try and post one action(bolded) for the turn.

In a day or two I will gather the actions, make any rolls as needed, and post the results along with a new challenge. I will not wait for too long, so it's best to get an action in as soon as you can.

Conflicting actions will be first come first serve. For example. If the first poster after this challenge decides to kill the woman, then the 2nd cannot also kill her. Most things I will work out and make work, you are gods after all.

A final note: Demi-gods, unlike Existence, Void, or the Elder Gods, are mortal. Meaning if you manifest yourself into the mortal realm and make a bad enough roll you can die. However, walking the mortal realm is an excellent way to gain more followers and belief, as you can directly change things happening.

The flicker of the candles in the old man huts start casting shadows.
Bigger than normal shadows.
Two nightchildren appears their long, clawed hands made of pure shadows loom in the room, their eyes, dark and with a reddish hue point at the man who dared such an accusation.
Mortal their voices beseech with creepy tone.
try as you might favor you will not grasp from the hands of the divine.
the divines lifespan is bigger than yours pathetical mortal existence. they add again.
one of the two nightchildren moves nearer to the pregnant girl.
whom did you bed with mortal? in front of the followers of shade, demigod of death, no one should try to lie. We know well the time that remains of your pathetical life and that of your welp yet to be born, do not anger us and speak the truth.

Oh, this game will be interesting!

Mercatus chuckled.

"Oh, the old story. A woman is with child, but denies bedding some man. Never heard that one before. But who knows? Maybe he speaks the truth. Wouldn`t it be cruel to let him pay for a child that was sired by some careless god? Challenge accepted." The sound of falling money is heard and Mercatus vanishes.

Down in the hut the sound of falling gold is heard again and Mercatus appears in his usual guise- A kindly, old man. The daughter shies away in surprise but her father stands his ground.. The Nightchildren of shade were already there. So one had acted faster than he. Annoying.

Mercatus cleared his throat. "My i introduce myself? I`m Mercatus, the Demigod of Commerce. Your accusation was heard above and caused some concern.. As you can see. Those are followers of one of my brothers. Hey, nightchildren, would you mind not scaring the two witless?"

He mustered the daughter. "I don`t know whether you speak the truth or if one of the other gods has been careless again.. I can only promise that i have nothing to do with the pregnancy of your daughter. However, i`m a kind god and it seems supremely unjust to have you pay for the upbringing of a child which was sired by a god. I`m hear to propose a deal."

He cleared his throat again.

"I offer the following terms: If you promise to serve me, in life and in death, and to spread the word of my supreme kindness i will provide you with enough money to live a good life- I will also take care of that child and if you want to i can find a suitable husband for your daughter. A rich merchant? A hard working craftsman? A famous adventurer? Amongst my followers are several suitable men, all devout and successful. You are old, and you soon might die. Do you want to leave your daughter behind, alone with child and without a man to care for her? And who knows what happens to you after you die. Will you cease to be? Which cruel god might claim your soul? Do you think your accusation did make you popular with the other gods? Do you want to spend eternity with beings like these?" He gestures towards the two nightchildren.

"I offer her a future and you a way out. I will take care of your soul and you will serve me as a middleman.. Who knows? If you serve me well you could also see your daughter from time to time."


Offer the man to pay for the child, to give him enough money to live in comfort and to find a suitable husband for his daughter. In exchange he shall tell the people about my kindness and he shall serve me as a devout dealmaker.

Almer suddenly blinked into the hut, and looked as if he was running. He looked around and gave a little laugh.

"Ah, seems I'm late for this little party. I see my friend Mercatus is offering you something?" Almer nods to him and puts his hand over the Dealmaker's shoulder.

"Well I'm guessing he plans to make you very wealthy indeed, nice to have all the money you could possibly want, eh?" Almer took away his hand, disappeared, and then reappeared right next to the woman, with his head next to her belly. She gave a shriek while her father looked somewhat angered.

"I hear it's l little heart, beating with life. A good enough mortal...Although it might just have a pint of divine blood, not mine though."

Almer took away his head, and placed his hands on the woman's belly. "Now, watch this." The demi-god's hands lit up with near-blinding light. "All done, girl."

Almer stood up, shaked his hands and began walking out the door. Naturally the woman wondered what had just happened. "Oh I just gave the child a little divine grace, ambition, with a bit of wit, and a little initiative. Suffice to say, consider your child blessed. Oh yes indeed."

And as briskly as he came, Almer left the hut, leaving the nightchildren, Mercatus, the woman, and the old man bewildered or at the very least, grinning. At least, that's what Almer thought.

But Almer wasn't done yet, oh no. He had business in  this mortal realm. He ran into the dark, and disappeared once again. He next reappeared in the Cathedral, looking for the most senior of the priest of Existence. Once he found him, he touched his shoulder and spoke. "I see you the experience of age, and your devotion as well. Shame that more people couldn't be like you, you know, being pious and worshiping..." Almer spoke to him for some time, talking to him about how the people should be made to follow morals more, if they did there would be less criminals, orphans, beggars, and whores. Especially whores. He eventually propositioned that perhaps the church could do some inquiring into the personal lives of the people punishing the truly despicable?

Kor looks upon the scene, slightly worried. This child might prove problematic if it is what it is believed to be, and the influence of Almer is also quite disconcerting. One must look out for this child, as it might attempt to alter the world.

But onto more pressing concerns. This city needs to feel the influence of the cold, stasis. My followers are not particularly numerous nor devout and the populace do not follow anyone. The must come to respect the cold, and how it preserves us.

A great winter shall come. All shall turn to ice. The snow and storms will slow down the bustling town, so they might come to appreciate the stasis. So they might feel the embrace of the cold.

Kor materializes near a lake. The endless winter that surrounds its unseen body spreads slowly and the ground covers in a thin layer of snow where Kor walks. Kor puts one of its hands into the water. The infinite coldness of Kor spreads into the water and it turns to ice. It spreads, freezing the fish where they swam. If nothing else, then they can finally feel the stasis. They shall be preserved, as they did not resist.

Kor freezes all it can. Perhaps it is a great winter that comes, perhaps it is simply a frozen lake. We shall see.

[Fortis]

Aevum Chronos simply watched the others rushing to further their own ends. Making bargains, threats, blessings, or summoning harsh winters. None actually bothered to seek the truth behind the situation. It would be a simple enough matter for him though. And if the unborn child really was fathered by one of the gods, they just might take offense to the young demi gods playing about with their future. And if it was simply begotten from the girl's infidelity, the child was of little consequence then.

Like the others, Aevum Chronos also vanished from the room of celestial thrones. He did not go down to the woman, or to her demanding father. He went to his own dwelling, where he worked. He found himself in an infinitely large stone room, and surrounded on all sides by candles of all shapes, sizes, and lengths. Some burned brightly, others dimly filickered. Some were set up from the floor by stands, some hung from the ceiling by chains. In this room, each one represented the lifespan of a living thing, be they insect or demi god.  Aevum Chronos walked through the room along one of the aisles between the candles.

He came to the candle that represented the woman. And nearby, a new candle was forming. The child was not born yet, but it was growing, and so was the candle that represented it's life span. Aevum Chronos picked up this candle, and used his power to gaze into its origins. When was this tiny new life conceived? Who bed the woman? Was it a mortal, or was it a god? His vision turned to the past, seeking the start of this unborn child. He would know the truth.

Aevum Chronos looks into the past, to see who it was that got the woman pregnant.

Looking good so far guys. I'll give a bit more time to those who haven't posted due to the downtime in the forums all day yesterday before I post the next challenge, and update things.
