Is this a subtle hint for less ethereal beings, or an example for how long a typical post is expected to be.
In both cases, good for me.

Theres a lot more choices for ethereal beings. Half of physicals are boring and/or furries. And theres only so many elements.

Lightning would be cool though, but I dont know the personality of electricity.

You can do a lot of cool things with elementals to: Forests spirit, vulcanos, mineral god, clouds, water, ocean, subatomic particles, lightning, all other environements, etc. Just a matter of originality.

Name: Mercatus
Type: Ethereal
Domain: Commerce (Deals)
Gender: Male
Alignment: 50/50
Avatar: An old, trustworthy and friendly looking human.

Followers: The Dealmakers
Brief Follower Bio: The Dealmakers are a secretive cult made up of those that have made a pact with Mercatus. For wealth, success, beauty, fame and other things they sold their soul (And often something else, too..) and are now bound to serve the God of Deals. Some of them see it as a curse and try to somehow escape their bond. Those that accept their fate, though, usually prosper and help to enrichen the cult of the dealmakers. They act in secrecy and use their wealth and influence to fulfill the desires of those wishing to make a Deal- So Mercatus doesn`t have to concern himself with those more mundane deals.
When a Dealmaker dies he becomes an ethereal spirit and serves Mercatus even in death- Most often by acting as a middleman between the Dealmakers and those willing to make a Deal. It is an open secret how to contact the Dealmakers.

Divine Friend: Almer, Demigod of Ambition. Who would consider making a deal without ambition?
Divine Friend: Kratos, Demigod of War. It´s easy to find people willing to make a deal in times of war.
Divine Friend: Krleg, Demi-God of Chaos. Uncertainity also makes people more willing to sell their souls.

Divine Enemy: Kor, Demigod of Stasis. Deals often change the status quo- Stasis is an anathema to Mercatus.
Divine Enemy: Shade, Demigod of Death. Many of those making a Deal with Mercatus wish for a lengthening of their life time- And claiming the souls of the dealmakers for all eternity also angers the god of death.
Divine Enemy: Aevum Chronos, Demigod of Time. Playing with the lifetime of beings angers chronos.

Brief Bio: Mercatus was created when someone first traded something with someone else. At first he was a feeble thing, but every deal made him stronger- Until he became strong enough to offer goods that no other trader could sell- Fame. Beauty. Wisdom. Life. In return he took the souls of his trading partners, creating the first dealmakers.

//Imagine Mercatus as something like the devil* in certain myths. He fulfills a wish and takes your soul in return. He is neither malevolent nor good; He simply likes to amass wealth and souls and the pure act of trading satisfies him immensely.

*Though, his powers are obviously limited. He relies heavily on the combined wealth and influence of his dealmakers to fulfill wishes.

Edited mine, Haika. *Reads over other demi-gods* Do I have to go change my divine friends/enemies  since other players have placed me either as friend/enemy?

That's just me roleplaying a bit. There's no real writing requirement or any length of post stuff. You can do whatever you like. Though yes, we have quite a few Ethereal types.

Nope, there's no need to adjust unless you want to. People can be enemies with someone while that person doesn't bother with them, and so on.

I think those that are chosen should get a chance to edit their allies and enemies later, though. Who knows what kind of god will show up next, and who knows which god will be accepted?

Yes there are tons of creativity you can do with each type. Those are all nice elemental types. I'd even put straight up darkness and light as Elemental types.

There's room for more physical types than furries as well. Just because you are the god of lizards does not mean you have to be a furry. You can ride a giant lizard into battle or have a pair of them trained with you or whatnot. Also remember that Physical types can be races, elves, man, humans, etc. Or even simple items, swords, axes, cheese... you can put humor in there as well.

I could probably put the same god in each of the three types, something like Suffering for Ethereal, Demons for Physical, and Unholy for Elemental. Could be all the same thing if you like. Also remember that your type, determines who your parents are from the Elder Gods. And that probably will make them like you more.

I think those that are chosen should get a chance to edit their allies and enemies later, though. Who knows what kind of god will show up next, and who knows which god will be accepted?

Everyone is welcome to edit their application and change anything they wish until the deadline tomorrow night. After that however your application will have to stand as it is.
