Hello there people, right now, I am trying to assemble an essay on what genre of video game sells best, so all you have to do is vote for which ONE genre of game you have BOUGHT the MOST of (It doesn’t have to be your favorite genre,)in the poll. If I messed up and there isn’t a poll, just post, in all-caps one of the following:

... seriously though, OP. Forum poll is not where you go for hard data on game sells. I mean, the statistics methodology behind doing this is just horrific. Too small, not even remotely representative (especially this forum!), absolutely no control over the results or ways to test control for spoof data. Not randomized at all, crazy person! You need to go get marketing numbers on what actually sold. E: Caveat: I have no idea where the hell to actually find that data. Ask your teacher or the nearest marketing major.

Breaking down by digital and physical would be a good idea. Adding a portion on second-hand sales (Resale, etc.) would be ideal.

E: The other problem with forum polls, is you get responses like this one.

E2: Actually, this could be for a psych/sociology essay instead of actually having to do anything with the actual topic. Checking the responses instead of the actual poll data. S'been known to happen.

A little bit of Strategy/simulation and a little bit of RPGs/JRPGs.
I have my share of fighters I never beaten as well.. But I have cutten down on those since Tekken 6.
My reflexes ain't what they used to be.

Mostly arcade shooters, so I went with that, even though you probably meant 3D shooters~

Definitions are too broad to really get an accurate meaning behind this, specially with the current generations of gaming which blend multiple genres both easily and frequently. I'm guessing it'll be either A: RPG because it's it covers so many different aspects of games, or B: Strategy because this is a Dwarf Fortress forum.

Simulation, but mostly things that overlap other geanra.

Mechwarrior, Mindrover, etc.

I like few of them, as most seem to be too generic for my taste.

Simulation, but If I were to choose a specific genre, It would be Stealth-Games.
