Toth III
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
*Skill of 0 means you can do it, but have no skill or proficiency at doing it well.

Toth III, the spaceport orbiting the planet is first class and has some of the best technology the imperium has to offer. Unfortunately this is because the planet below is a barren wasteland barely capable of sustaining even the basics of plant life.
Long ago the colonists abandoned the planet for the space station, and that has become the home of the population aswell as migrating and transient traders, diplomats pirates and people seeking to escape from something, or the police.
The fact that the Law has long from existed on the station has led to strongmen taking control due to the virtue of their followers guns. Frequently they are overthrown and killed, but the populous are usually unmolested; stuck on a space station with an angry populous would result in a quick and violent death even for an armed strongman. And have.
The people go about their business in general and live their lives pretty much untouched by the lawless society they live in. Food comes in from traders seeking a good price, and the exports range from technological geniuses working in solitude, to human waste labeled as Hazerdous - 'low grade fertaliser'.

You can be whoever you want, do whatever you want. This is not a serious rpg. The only rules are the roll of the dice + your skills/attributes.

I will randomly roll social status upon register at the station, picking king would just be too easy  :P
The rest of stats will also be random, what you do from there is your choice!
Nothing will be easy however, if you want to survey the planet, you either need to attempt to hire someone or buy a ship equipped with survey scanners and hopefully know how to use them/fly the ship.

*The planet was randomly generated, more can be created if need be, more info on the planet can also be found if explored etc etc.

Some Ideas for start:
*You cannot join the Army or Navy or Marines or any other government force, as the government has no presence here. You can join the police or pirates or similar things.
You can study things(try), you can become a nomad, you can attempt to leave the station and study or enlist elsewhere. The key is what I said in the beginning YOU CAN DO ANYTHING, if the die roll allows it; augmented by your skills.

Basicly, you can say I WANT TO DO THIS, and I will tell you how hard it would be, how long it would take roughly and what skills you may need to use/acquire first.

There is no goal. You do not get points for rank or social status or collecting moneys. You do get brownie points for awesome trolling/actions which can be redeemed to save yourself a horrible death in an accident or boost your chances for promotion or the like. (1 brownie point = 1 +1 modifier in a non combat roll)

**I will provide 2 sets of starting attributes to pick one from.

***You cannot change my decisions/rolls, I will endeavor to be fair in all cases. You do not get to revive yourself but you can start again after a little 'cool off) time to prevent suicidal trolling  :P

****You dont need to be an expert at rpgs, actions dont need to be verbose. All welcome!

Time will pass as necessary, people on long studies abroad or services may have few actions to do until their training is complete(varies greatly). If everyone is doing long term things, I will 'fast forward' time abit. I expect this to happen fairly often, at least at the beginning. Else consider 1 real life day, 1 in game day. It's a rule of thumb so you know roughly what you can do in a daily turn. I will backdate extra 'time' if I don't update for a few days. I.E. player one does something that takes 3 days, i update 3 days later and note he has finished. Certain actions may be pushed forward however if necessary.

If you want to do an action secretly, just pm me them instead of posting them.

Random events:

I will do these randomly when the randomness comes to my mind  :P

((eh, may see where this goes. Is this good for an intro?))

Quote
Character: Jol'ema Fre'sa
Race: Batarian

....nodded in tune to the mans arguments.

"This is MY shop, and I don't serve no damn blinks here!"

He responded.

"That's your perogative, surely-but can you lay out some reasoning?"

Asked to explain himself, the man seemed to withdraw. Jolem wasn't been intimidated...and all the excuses he had heard to keep Batarian out of his seemed pretty shallow.

"It's...Bata...Blinks are all pirates and terrorists, everybody knows that. Hey, I'm the first one to say they can't help it, they're just an evil people. I know a few good ones, sure! But the rest is rotten to the core..."

Jolem nodded somberly.

"Indeed, my peoples reputation precedes me. I would not deny a significant amount of horrendous incidents prepetrated by Batarians, especially against Humans. But, now I ask you-are Batarians the only race whose people engage in criminal activity?"

It was an obvious question-and while it might be insulting to someone of higher reasoning, the shop owner had to think...

"Not...strictly. I mean...there's more Human gangs around here than them...but..."

"But, we can't say all Humans are criminals, then-right?"

"Yeah."

"We've established that I am not your enemy, correct? I've made no hostile endeavor toward you-in fact, I've been the model of a good neighbor. Really-I just wanted lunch-and this place has the best Fried Hakannti in the station. Do you mind if I enter, now? I know this is your shop, and I'm willing to respect that."

The Shop Keeper-confused, but glad to have been complimented, nodded dumbly.

"Okay, you can eat here. Sorry for being a...well, it was my father...and...what did you say your name was again, friend?

"Jolem Fre'sa. I'm new around here...

Depending on my starting attributes and standing, my intro will end in different ways, though. So IN. :P

I'll roll everyone who comes tonight twice(so you can pick from two choices), essentially everyone will start with only basic skills, and then learn/study etc the rest if they so desire!
I'll let people pick any 1 skill they want when the time comes to level 1, i'll put up a list of potential skills if need be, but generally whatever you want would be ok.

I.E. if you say 'I want to make drugs.' Level 1 in chemistry it is!

I will allow it, and add some modifiers on the basic character:
-8 to all physical attributes, for being a cute cuddly cat.
+6 to charisma, for being a cute cuddly cat.
+1 to social standing roll, for being a sociopathic cute cuddly cat.

*This is subject to me checking the rules to see any additional advantages/disadvantages  :P

**Also(added to first post too)

An ant?  :P

Also added attributes to the first post, pick one of your two! Catman your stats are unmodified, so choose wisely. You can't get minus stats, 1 is the minimum.

*Shade rolled awesome stats, you could probably be anything you wanted XD
