Now I'm confused, what exactly is a monitor, a monitor lizard? I thought to myself, but no, it has a stinger, thoughts? 
P.S I haven't uploaded pictures before so bear with me.

Yes, they just add random bodyparts to anything. It's a beast that *resembles* the creature mentioned. Surprised you've never seen an eight-legged quadraped yet, i get those constantly

A forgotten beast can be a giant T-Rex and still have a stinger, its just an randomised extra feature.

Not really angry, the two Savannah monitors I've owned have been like every other carnivorous reptile I've cared for, slightly less lazy than herbivores, but still far more concerned with getting into the utility closet than fighting. To be fair though, my first did give me 43 stitches...
