Yes. I wouldn't mind playing some Bay12 folks here.

We play WCIII:FT literally every day in my tech class. Our little pool of (non-standard) games consists of Angel Arena Allstars, Uther Party, several Tower Hunting games, Parasite, Metastasis, Zerg Infestation, some sort of Aliens game we only played once... And then your regular Tower Defense and the ever eternal Run-Kitty-Run. :P

When not in actual LAN, I have found that GameRanger works like a charm.

Wait what? Warcraft was a strategy game before becoming an MMO?

*shock*

JK

Seriously though, I kinda miss this game, might consider reinstalling this.

So I'm able to create games, but I still can't host.

For fuck's sake.  What sucks is I can't just bypass the router because my modem is a 2-in-1.

GameRanger doesn't need any open ports. We should use that.

There's a difference between "open ports" and a Bluecoat-esque proxy. It doesn't require any fancy port forwarding.

I remember struggling with my router for hours and hours when I played this game as a teenager. Finally got it to work, and my laugh got so good. Keep trying, and you'll get it eventually.

So are we going for RTS maps or more run and gun/slash individual hero maps?

We should be picking out a map lineup about now.

I'm up for a mix of both.

I'm thinking of having a daily rotation. Every day at a certain time (maybe 6:00 PM, so people who get back from work can play, and earlier/later for weekends?) I'll host a game. Of course, that's assuming everything I need to do is completed and that nothing is during that time.

Some of my old favourites include Farmers of Teren Valley, Murder in the Mansion, Parasite EX, and 11th Vampire. Especially that last one, which was awesome in every way (though, sadly broken by one of the patches, I believe).

Your 6 PM could be someone's 6 AM :P.

Whats everyones timezones?  We could set a start time that will work for everybody.

Also I think picking specific maps would be a clusterfuck so how about all of the hosts including me download every map suggested from either hive workshop or epicwar.  We can then pick a map once everyone is ready to roll, by using some kind of chatroom software.  Maybe the bay12 IRC or something?

Also how many people can actually confirm that game ranger works?  I haven't had very good experiences with it.  I'll mess around with it some more if lots of the keyless people can say that it actually works.  Otherwise it seems rather pointless.

Also it looks like we are going to have battlenet and some kind of keyless game side by side.  So to you gents who want to use game ranger you will probably be separate from the battlenet gents.
