No mob spawning as in no commands to spawn 3 world eaters or such, everything including boss fights would have to be done the old (vanilla) way.
And yes we'd be limited to the resources that world has. Unless we got stupendously unlucky (such as a massive lack of demonic altars to spawn the advanced ores) then I'd consider making another world for resource extraction.

Aurora on small monitors:
1. Game Parameters -> Reduced Height Windows.
2. Lock taskbar to the right side of your desktop.
3. Run Resize Enable

Ok I'm hosting it on my compy. Whenever it is up I'll edit the first post on the thread and update it to up or down. I'll try to keep the post always updated. Also bear in mind the password is case sensitive, the first letter is capitalized.

Constructions on the server would be under (my :P) criterious control, as most open terraria servers have that awful habit of getting littered with tiny ugly bases and space needles. And plase no OCD gamers, the idea is to build something cool, not kill the wall of flesh in the least ammount of time.

I can host the server however I dunno if my connection can make the latency good enough.
Anyone would be interested?

The only difference between a "new" and "old" character is the stuff you're wearing.  If you're a new character wearing molten gear then you don't qualify as new.
