I only thought it was done, it had finished extracting the files then it sat there for like 5 mins saying Busy, then suddenly started downloading a new patch. lol

Pissed off about the Tech class... Turrets have tiny range, die at 1 hit from the Soldier weapon, and pretty much any other weapon, the damage from them is shit to the max, you need to be in their sites for like 15 hits, and thats with their little health and short range. Tech weapons are a rifle and the repair gun, so they have to practice with the damn bullet travel, which can be difficult considering the movement of this game. Couldn't even see a difference between Tech repairspeed and any other class speed, still stood in front of the Generator the same amount of time, techs spos to have a base speed increase on repair work...

Their Skill tree is shit too, only 1 line goes for Turret, one to make them lock on 15% faster, helps if they are Skiing through but not really when they can just shoot it out of its range, the next gives you a second turret, so maybe crossfires, then there is what 25% extra damage on Armour targets, yeah like they can't just shoot them out of its range...

Their two unlock me perks are, Barter, makes upgrading everything about your base 25% cheeper, and a Melee Shield which reduces 50% of melee damage on you. Barter is the only one interesting there. The rest boost their speed (WHAT! They are defensive units!!!) Stopping power (Once again Defensive, why?). Oh this one I love, Weapons Switch speed... WHAT! Oh I so need to repair that Generator while I am in the middle of this battle good thing I can change weapons quicker... WHAT!!!

One thing I don't understand right now... Granades... Why? 1: The target is in the air or moving ten times faster then you can throw... 2: They seem to explode YOU when your over double the distance away from from it compared to them. 2: Again, no one is really on the ground for that long, why!

The other thing I am not all that overjoyed with... "I don't need to Aim to win" guns... Everyone has one, but the Techy (afaik) where they can just spray around you and still kill you in 1 hit, compared to the Rifles and that which you need to keep aim on a fast moving target to hit them 40 times......

\\Deep breath\\ Yeah ok so its in Beta, but seriously, has no one actually tried the other classes and seen what works and what fails badly. No wait, they are all firing those damn discs everywhere cause you don't need to aim at them to win....

One of my favourite grenades is the Pathfiders Nitro grenade, its basically a concussion grenade. And its HIGHLY entertaining.

Anyway, I'll throw down a DFC announcement about this post and get people to share ingame names

The turrets can be a pain in the ass on that level where the flags are on two floating ships. Also... No needing to aim the spinfusers? I mean... Yes. They explode... But if you are not going at least 100 miles per hour you are doing it wrong. It can still be hard to hit a guy moving that fast.

Dude its the Main weapon of the Soldier, they can one hit people sometimes, and mostly me...
They are the 'No Aim Big Kill gun'... Which saddens me...

Most classes have a form of spin fuser (the exploded disk gun), heavier classes get more powerful versions, and some lighter classes get a smaller one.

This game looks like a lot of fun. Hopefully it will compare to the previous games in the series. I'm not sure if it will run on my computer, but even if it doesn't we'll have two more keys for the B12 invasion force.

Dude its the Main weapon of the Soldier, they can one hit people sometimes, and mostly me...
They are the 'No Aim Big Kill gun'... Which saddens me...

They can't one hit someone unless it is a direct hit. And you still need to aim at anyone who is moving. Do you just stand there and let them shoot you or something?

turrets are good because they throw people off course when they're trying to cap. its a lot easier to stop a pathfinder who tries to cap at 250km/h if he has to make course corrections for turret hits. and if he does get hit then he loses a lot of speed and dies in one hit to just about anyone.

cript said it though, if you're not doing 100km/h you're doing something seriously wrong.

I was surprised the first time I played as a heavy. Even they can get up to 100+ easy. They seem to "max" out about 40 under the medium classes, but they are still plenty fast. I have not played a light class yet, but I really can't wait until I can, I want to really push the speed limits.

i think i saw someone go 280kmph in a video. certainly i know 250+ is doable.

ive been watching ahnaris play pathfinder, and he generally goes at around 200 for a cap.
