the Odysseus ETV is outfitted with living quarters for a crew of 50 and additionally an 4-Man Submarine. However should you explore on a landed planet you will find yourself lacking living space.

"You will fly with the "Rosemary". I think you already know Captain Canter and his Crew?" Indeed on almost all your Endeavours Captain Canter was responsible for your transport and orbital support.

[2] The Rosemary doesn't really deserve the Name Frigate. An Pre-imperial Vessel, the damn thing is outfitted with an ancient Garibaldi Interphase-Drive (the kind of FTL-drive used even before the Republic, the precursor of the Empire and thus propably at least a thousand years old) and rusted to a point were the rust is the only thing keeping the ship together. The Crew is a host of malcontents, from mutants over Wreckan* Outcasts, to the on or other escaped Xeno or Varangian Slave. Outfitted with ancient Megacannons at least the weaponry is somewhat decent although unreliable
[5] Contrary to that Canter is a man that can be trusted. In fact being an old friend you have had many a drunken evening. He would go through hell for you. For you he is propably available through the whole mission. At least as long as you don't ask him to give up the Rosemary for you. It's an old family heirloom and although the ship is one piece of crap he loves the damn bucket.

Tavius

You hear an amused snort.

Sorry i always wanted to do that. What with all the dead i had to take care of. Your damn lucky one of the preparation units found you and dragged you all the way down to the ship. Usually they are not outfitted for such a feat.

The Custodian seems a little bit less substantial than before, a bit faded, contrary to the almost physical presence of him in the Necropolis before.

A boat I think.
Ah, the only thing I could find hinted at it being electrical powered. In that case I'll probably be replacing it by a Dorf. Planning to go for the grasslands first. Or not, ocean planet looks nice too...

hmmm.

Actually going for the ocean planet first. Meaning this will be the final list.

((Actually i first thought of an APC like vehicle...then i looked up what ETV stood for and decided that a small Science Vessel would be cool too. So if you want a ship you can have one if you want an APC i'll change it to that...))

((Boat's fine. But since you're retconning things anyway, how about making it amphibious ;)))

The Odysseus ETV is an amphibious Crawler specifically designed to work in any terrain and in any climate. The large Vehicle houses a 4-man exploratory Submarine aswell as 2 small ATV's for land explorations. 1-foot thick Dharite ,a heat and cold resistant metal, aswell as radioactive covering keeps out the unforgiving nature, and can protect from most of the more dangerous wildlife.

Oh nothing of import, we evacuated the Necropolis, i copied myself onto the ships databanks, exciting escape with the ship in which the whole facility exploded around us while we barely escaped, huge Fireball behind us...so in short you missed nothing.

We're about to leave this toxin-ridden excuse for atmosphere and then well, as you are obviously the higheest ranked member of this ship Visitor it's up to you.

[6]

And look who we also managed to get out of this hellhole...

with a theatrical sweeping gesture the Custodian points at a Med-Pod next to you. Inside is a horrible maimed creature, which after a few seconds you recognize at that which is left of the Prior.

By the way i have taken the freedom of not awakening the Crew yet, visitor.

[1,4] the Custodian vanishes except for a vastly decreased part of himself and instead a Model of the Viridian Dream appears.

With a happy tune to hsi grave-like voice The Custodian begins to talk:

The Viridian Dream is a Cruiser-Class Ship. My databanks are a bit erroneous on it's exact class but it should be somewhere around 7km's in length and a Maximum Crew Capacity of 100.000 people. With Cargo Capacities to transport another good 250.000 in personnel. That equals 100 Regiments or 1 Army. It's Weapon Loadout encompasses 10 Laser Batteries, 6 Heavy Railgun Batteries, 2 Light fusion turrets and an assorment of 20 warheads which i couldn't catalogize up to now.

However we have recieved heavy damage in our shield generators, aswell as our engines and weapon systems. In short we are not in anyway capable of surviving a continous fight. Ah and have i mentioned the messages we have recived from the orbit?

"Well, You didn't mention anything about the orbit until now. Any chance we can fix the damage in a reasonable timeframe without reducing the performance of the ship?"
