Trent sat at a table in his new residence, a mansion of sorts that was formerly the town of hall of the village, in front of him sheets of paper and the rare data slates are scattered about the table filled with information he'd gained in a mere week of controlling the Criptian Peninsula. After a few seconds a servant barges in, and Trent looks up as the man speaks, "Sir, it is as you expected Roim is sending an army to take back the Penisula, numbers are roughly 20 regiments from our scouts. Your orders?" Trent tapped on a piece of paper with his pen for a minute as he thought, "So the Fool King seeks to counter my claims by force, lets just see what we can stir up." Trent looked at the servant and replied, "I'll give you two letters momentarily, the first is to be sent to the Archon post-haste, and the second to Azthor of House Nova, I also want you to order my troops to gather at the fortress site at the top on the Peninsula. If all else fails we'll meet them in combat, but I'd rather avoid that."

With that said Trent began to write.

Back at his office after the economic meeting, Roim started writing a letter to Azthor.

Posse Comitatus Act

In order to preserve the capital from brawl and unsavory trade, it is forbidden for any troop save the Matriarch's to be stationed, to operate or to move through Delta-17. This Act can be revoked if the Matriarch (or Her Second) deems it necessary. (War, Rebellion...)

Orders all troops save the House Guards to be removed from Delta-17

Luthias received the letteer from Trent. It was inevitable that power struggle would develop. But it was a chance for Luthias to temper that brute Roim.
Averys might have chosen slab of meat, but she forgot about the brain that has to be attached to that slab. It was all too common that rich ladies would buy themsleves big brute of a slave, for all the obvious purposes. Archon was wondering if this was not similar.

((Given tech level and the geography of the peninsula, I request a roll to see if the letter go through or is intercepted by my men))

((don't bother. I can use my shuttle to bypass you if you try to do that. You did not intercept the letter that went out to me, so why wouold you try to stop that one, and more importantly how?))

((Because my men when one week away when adwarf sent his letter, so they couldn't intercept. Actually, given medieval tech, you would probably only get his letter after the fight, but whatever. :p

And using your shuttle now would be heavy metagaming, so you won't do that.))

((Its heavy meta when you try to intercept a letter that you don't know is coming. I'm leaving it up to Ghaz to arbitrate on that.))

((Well, the way I see it, I've got a bunch of men closing down on the peninsula, that want to grab Trent and bring his ass back to Delta-17. The Way to do it is to block "base" of the peninsula so he can't get around them. They're not actively looking for the letter, just that since they're already locking on the peninsula, any spotted messenger would be arrested and searched.))

BTW: The fiefs needs some works Ghazkull: Azthor doesn't have any tax income. He can't even feed his troops, since he has no food income either. :p
I repeat my suggestions that you remove that fortress from his fief list (I mean, is it even a different Fortress or is it Delta-17? It's weird that it may be a fief of both Aeverys and Azthor..., but if it's a different fortress, we don't have enough food to feed them...) and give him some towns and farmsteads instead. That seems more like what a House Noble fief would look like: farmland in the Core, and a town or two.

Edit: Oh, I see I totally missed your rant. Here is the answer.

Your reply brings me to something I figured you had inferred, I'm a noble of House Nova, you may say am not but I am still in a small amount part of House Nova even if I am part of a Branch House, I just laid claim to part of your lands and in your eyes I knew it would be seen as rebelling, now why on earth would I send a messenger dressed as a messenger? Even better why wouldn't I send the messenger dressed as a Church Scribe so you couldn't interfere. My point is that I figured you could infer my intention was that the messenger wouldn't look like a messenger. And if its a single man who you don't know is taking a message and is not dressed as a messenger then your subordinate wouldn't know to stop him as you didn't directly order him to be on the look for those. Anywho that is the last I have to say on the matter, Ghaz's decision will be final :)

((OOC: sorry for delays, i've got currently a job at a place where Internet seems to be the works of witches...anyway))

Ok after going through everything i can't see your Problem Sheb. Nova has a population of 318 Units and you produce 320 Units of Food. Everybody is fed and you can store 2 Units in the Granary. Having this said i also just realized that Azthor in fact gets no money.

Ok following New Distribution until somebody decides he wants to divide his land up differently:

For now Azthor gets the 29 Parcels of Farmsteads from Aeverys so that he can keep the troops and feed the Corelands.

This to that.

Concerning the landscape i am a bit reluctant to rule on that, i want to allow you to shape the Geography of the Planet as you wish and in this case i think we can agree that the Peninsula was not Meta by Sheb. Due to the Letter on the other hand yor guards are not actively trying to siege and wall off the whole area, at least that was no order from your side. You just told them to go in and get Adwarf out. But i roll anyway.

The 400 Credits i will divide up equally with exemption of Trent and Tavius as both don't belong to the family and are just mere Retainers. So each of you can write 100 Creds on his Private Account XP. And Tavius has still one Cred remaining as far as i recall from his previous job.

((Food wise, I was confused about the fact that the Fortress appeared twice in the fief list. If Azthor's was another fortress, we didn't have enough food for him. I'll edit the turn then.

What's the roll's result?

Also, Azthor, I need around 27 units of food for the Core. What are your condition? Can I buy food somewhere else (International market?) ))
