"King, we have but one goal. To bring Humanity back to it's rightful glory. We tore ourselves apart 100 years ago, and I simply want to reunite everyone under one banner. Wouldn't you want a similar thing?"

"Yes, I do wish for such a thing, but I will not seek it through violence. I have gotten to where I am, because I have freed those who have been oppressed, and given to my people what I can. I do not seek violence, but I will protect my kingdom, its people, and those who are oppressed by others. What you seek to do is exactly what I wish to stop, even though I wish for no war if you continue that is what you shall have. I mean this as not a threat, but a warning, if you continue your oppression I will go to war."

"Opression? We wish not to opress, but to unite. We wish no war, apart from those that we must fight, like the Xenos, or those that consider themselves noble enough to talk during a play

"Yes, but what gives us the right to oppress the Xenos? What have they done that deserves this punishment? You did not think of this before you started your war, you simply followed the orders of the Church. Can you not think for yourselves, and about what will happen as a result of your actions ?"

"And why? Why do something you don't wish to, when you can refuse, or fight back? You do something simply, because you fear the loss of your position, or your power. I have come to request peace, and ask for an end to the oppression, but it is beginning to seem as if you are to scared to even try to resist something that you wish not to do. You kill simply, because you are told, you know not the reason, but you kill. Is it not better to disobey the order, than to follow it blindly?"

"I do not fear a loss of power. That is simply the cycle of things. But with such a tenuous foothold, we cannot afford to deny the Church. They would crush us within three months... But for peace, I would consider an end of the Crusade..."

"The Church is weak, they try not to show it, but they are weak, their influence has shrank, and their forces along with it. Why do you thank they hold, so little land on this planet? If they had the power they would crush you, instead of ask you for aid. What I seek is peace, but its costs will be the end of your crusade. Otherwise it will be a war, and can you truly afford to fight against my people?"

Aeverys knew the King was doing this on purpose.

"Before you toss away the blessings of the church for a piece of parchment saying we are now friends, brother-I would have you reconsider.

The Crusade not only sharpens our forces through combat, but allows us to expand our territory-and if I was to account for the atrocities of the misbegotten Xenos against our colonists, you would turn a shade paler.

No, this self-styled King seeks to destroy our friendship with the Church, and no cost to himself, except for a meaningless treaty he can break on whim once we have severed ties. He reach hath grown overlong-and he shows his true colors. Do not fall for this craven council.

I am your sister. I serve this family-I have always served this family. So, will you take his council over mine?"

Her hand tensed in the glove.

"The Xenos reacted in retaliation your Church has long since veered from its path, it is no longer that which you see it as. What stands now is nothing more than a monument to corruption. I only try to show you what is in front of your eyes, yet you refuse to see. I do not seek peace for any other reason than for my people, for yours, and for the Xenos. They deserve the same rights as us for we were the ones that started this war, so long ago not them."

"I say we seek the truth. Ask them. The Church are powerful, yes, and I see both your points of View. If he seeks peace for all of us, then I am finding it hard to refuse..."

"I am afraid they will never tell you the truth, that you will have to find yourself. I fear I must be leaving soon for I have much work to do, for if the Church ever hears of what I have told you today then they shall retaliate towards me in some form. This talk of peace has brought us closer to what we all seek, and I am glad of that." Renard says as he bows before the Aeverys Head, and continues "I must take my leave now me, and my men have far to go reach home. I would b grateful if you were to send a messenger to my estate when a decision has been reached. Until then, may your people prosper." With that Renard bows again, and begins to leave the room.

After the King left the throne room, Malcador went to one of the arras, lifted it up only to reveal a machine below it. He pushed some buttons and came back with a disk.

My lieges, this man spoke heresy, you know it, i know it, every man in this room knows it. We are your servants and we will bow to your wishes, but here is a one time chance. The popuace in the lands of this self-styled King is still following the Church, they would burn him on the mere implication that he is a heretic. This could be used to our advantage. His land would dissolve into chaos! Maybe he could muster some of his loyal soldiers and lords but he would still had a hard-time to even remotely keeping the country together. When you show these records to the Church along with a promise to go on a Crusade, we would not only gain great favour with the Church,  money for our help and easy pickings on his broken lands, we would propably also gain the help of the Churchs military. This Renard has no idea what he is talking about if i might be frank my lieges. The Church is still the most powerful and most influential player on this planet. But the decision is still up to you...
